My Wheel Fell Off...

Yea..****** up my car pretty good today...

Going around a turn a bit too fast I hit a curb..I get out to see my freshly powdercoated rims nice and scraped up, but all else seems fine..sooo I leave...drive bout a mile. I stop and get some gas and continue on my way home..

Well I make the turn onto my road and BOOM..car slams to a halt..I get out to see my front drivers side wheel perpendicular to my car, with the fender just resting on it..Look under the car, the axle is laying on the ground, intact, but on the ground.

Sooooo basically what happened is that when I slammed the curb I cracked the part of the steering knuckle that holds the pin of the lower control arm. That final turn must have been all it could handle, and it broke all the way through. The lower control arm dropped, there was nothing holding the axle in anymore so it dropped too..

Got it towed and turns out I only need the steering knuckle...My fender is a bit messed up, but I dont have the cash to fix that right now...I guess Ill be in the market for a new fender soon...

I was goin like 5 mph when when it happened..Otherwise I would have died. Seriously.

Anywayyyyyyy So I got the car back today!

Fender is a bit ****** up...Rim makes me want to cry...I'll let the pics speak for themselves

Broken Knuckle Close - This is really interesting..Check out the rust on the upper portion of where the piece cracked off, That must have been cracked there for some time in order for it to rust..That scares the HELL out of me

It was like 380 for the Tow..the new knuckle..and labor...

At least now I can drive the thing...Who knows what the new fender is going to cost eventually...
