For the price of the side mount intercooler and hardpipes, couldn't you do a front mount? I just think the side mount doesn't get much airflow the way it is positioned.

For my car, I just received a ebay intercooler. Total price:$108. It seems really well made, too.

There are 2 reasons i don't want to go with the FMIC
1. Kinda going for the sleeper look
2. I have my fog lights mounted in the front grill, and I can't have the FMIC there w/ the fogs.

yeah however we still need to bolt the turbo up, run all the coolant and oil lines, run all the piping, i am sure there is going to be some kind of wiring somewhere for something, and then there is always good old "if it can go wrong it will go wrong" that combined with the protege curse and the luke curse is going to make this fun. Just make sure you have some money on the side in case we need something we didnt realize and or break something, you have alternate transportation, and there is plenty of band aids and alcohol

The only wiring I can think of off hand is the EBC, turbo timer, boost & a/f gauge. I will confer with you, Scott, and Kevin to make sure we have everything before we even get started. I'll also talk to Kevin about working at his house if possible, so if something happens maybe he'll let me drive the Miata home.(peep)

Well, flat black spray paint would solve one of your problems. As far the fog lights, you have hid's, right? Do you really need them?

Agreed, get some radiator paint and put the fogs where they belong.

(first)

actually the HIDS make the fogs more nessecary. Try driving in the rain with HIDs you cant see crap

i just really like my fogs where they are. definately different....no one else has them like that, that i've seen.

My place? Miata? bwahahahahaha :D

The most important item you neglected on your list...OIL!!! Considering how low you seem to let it run (again and again), a turbo won't last 10k miles on your setup ;) . Check it regularly, top off, and considering your driving habits + turbo, don't let it go past 3k......seriously.

Other than that, I wish you luck and look forward to it's fruition. We'll all lend a hand in the setup.

Another thing, are you going to use the stock s-pipe? I would consider the corksport replacement because the stock one seems restrictive, especially with a gt28 turbo that will be moving more air through it.

after Scott splitting his, and other problems I've had with CS parts, i won't buy anything that CS made....
