My radio died....

I was jammin and I left my car. I got back in and turned on the car. when I tried to turn the radio down the face went blank and it would not respond to any of the buttons?! I pushed them all one at a time and nothing happened. The radio kept jammin. I then turned off the car and then turned it back on. The radio then did nothing it was just there no lights no sound. it then flipped down like when you put in or eject a cd and it stayed that way! I took the face off and it proceeded to flip back up?! so i put the face back on and it fips down???? POS. i am taking it back to the stealership tomorrow. :mad:

Try taking it off and putting it back on. I had this with my Z828. I realized that it wasn't 100% on, but some stuff worked. What the problem was is that the PINs were not all 100% connected (on tha back of the faceplate).

Yeah, I had problems with my Z828 in my MP3. I was playing a CD...parked the car, went into lunch...and when I came out, my graphics got all funky and unreadable.

I've taken it off and put it back on about 10 time since last night. I was thinking that might be the problem, but it did not work.

RESET it. You need something like a thumb tack or something to push it in.

Ask in the audio section for more help. 1st mp3 in nh is a great help

i have a pioneer DEH-8400MP... duel face... and it did that once of twice... the reason it did it was b/c the conntacts on the face werent touching the contacts on the main unit...

YOU GUYS ROCK!!
the reset worked. our radio has the button on the front of the face and the back. There seems to be a lot of reseting with these kenwood stereos. I had a pioneer for years and I never had a problem with it. DEH (or p) 850 I think it was. anywho, thanks
