my protege 5 project

hi, im picking up this protege 5 2morrow for 600 bucks, someone destroyed this car and im going to restore it. i had a protege 5 and sold it in 2005 and i also had a reg protege lx that i turboed as u can see in my sig i bought both cars brand new and turboed the blue car with 600 miles on the odometer, i sold both cars to carmax due to finacial needs, i since missed my mp5 and always wanted it back, well now i have my chance. wish me luck so far it has a vis carbon fiber hood and looks like it has z3 fenders, those are going to the dumpster and im returning it to stock. i may keep the hood but that depends the fenders are gone. engine is blown. ill post the progress in the coming months. heres the link to the car oh and the fugly body kit is going away also.

hehe thanks! im a benz mechanic so im not scared of this car. im already restoring it in my mind.
funny thing is i just bought a 2000 civic ex and i hate the car i mean its a really good car but proteges are way nicer. I didnt tell my wife that im buying this car i tried to convince her that we can sell the civic and get another protege5 but she likes that civic so i gota do this alone. im in no hurry to get this done, my main ride is a 2001 mustang gt thats supercharged pushing 500 hp to the wheels tuned by pro dyno at fort mill sc.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzIwZ7fC3YQ&feature=channel_page its since been tuned again that was the 1st tune before the other mods and more boost.

Wow, that is a great deal...you could sell just a few pieces off it and break even. Good luck restoring it...you should start a thread and take lots of progress pics along the way.

hey all im in the process of restoring this ride ive taken the interior completly out and pressure washed evrything carpet ,seats. got 2 fenders for it and bumpers coming this week.

made some progress today, took out headliner and pressure washed it also. it turned out great. installed front and rear bumper today.

THANKS!! yeah i get a headache sometimes just thinking about all the stuff i have to do. tomrrows task is to remove all the cheapo window tint and glue from 4 windows and 2 side windows.

Oh come on that old engine didn't look that bad. You could've just put some duct tape over that hole and called it a day
