I was stopped at a speed bump behind a large work truck and he decided to back up rather than going forward and WHAM-O!
It was on my lunch break Friday Afternoon in the park i live in, and the funny part, well non of this is real funny, is that it was the park's truck that hit me.

Well the estimates ranged from 2600 to 3100 so there's really no telling once they really get under the hood. It's just taking sooooo long for them to do anything about it. This happened 11am Friday, it is now tuesday and i still don't know when they will get me a check or how much they expect to pay me. I told them 4000 due to car repairs, rental car, time lost from work and gas spent running around but nothing can repair my now lowered trade in value, not that i want to trade it but if i ever do i'll lose my a$$ on the deal.

It is nice to be missed.. I didn't realize that anyone really noticed I hadn't been on PM site.. I'll do my best to keep checking in on there though..

I told them they have until Friday then i'm calling a lawyer, which i will hate doing because it will cost me so much more plus extra time out of work for court dates.

No, that is my only one. I have to drive it like that until i can get it fixed, pretty dangerous. I have the hood tied down with a bungee because i don't trust the now bent up hood latch. It really sucks!

Yeah, when it's wet i can see the drivers side headligh cover get foggy with condensation so i know that one is cracked. The radiator is bent back a little and the support is cracked. It isn't leaking any fluid or running hot so i know its not punctured, just bent backwards.
They will have to replace a bunch on the front end.

cosmetically, looks like hood, heads, grills and front bumper have to be replaced. Stating the obvious I know, but my point is that at least the quarter panels are ok. Replacing and painting the rest of it should be a joke and it's not a hard color. Now if the quarters were hurt, different story and that's where I start crying.

bad luck though man, reminds me of my own.

The price of your car for trade in value will not change much at all, the accident did not impact the chasis or frame. and second of all, you were at a stop, the force of the impact despite the wait of the truck couldnt have been to big, third of all it's a frontal impact, side impacts are the killers, at the most you're car will be worth 250 $ less than any other Mazda 6 exactly like yours if you ever trade it in. I did some auto broker work for 7 months. dont let other people tell you that what I said aint true
