I traded my 2009 Toyota Matrix S AWD, which had 58,700 miles showing on a 2011 Mazda2 Touring 5-Speed. After all the dealing, taxes, and fees we financed a total of $15800 at 0% for 60 months (US dollars) . We were also able to take advantage of the Mazda Owner Loyalty Bonus cash of $500 as we also own a 2006 Mazda5 Touring (which has been an excellent car). Only 104 miles on the odometer, but we love the 2!

I have only seen three Mazda 2's around town in green, silver and white. I have seen a lot of the Mazda 3's. I like the Mazda 3 but I wanted something smaller. I hit 100 miles as I was driving over the Rio Grande. It had 22 miles on it when I bought it. It was in the showroom. I am so happy with my Mazda 2!

Hi there, its nice to meet u! I just bought my 2 about 2 weeks ago, i love it! I have only been on here a few weeks and have gotten alot of info. on my car.

Just bought my 2 Touring 5-speed a week ago. Love the handling. Only bugger is that I feel like it's wheels are small (15"). This is my first car (Ahh!) so I was wondering if you can put larger wheels on a car without messing it up. Would it make the car heavier i.e. mess up the handling, make the good mpg worse, etc.? I know the 2 is new in the US too. Do you have to get only wheels made for the 2 or just Mazda wheels? Help! Looking for some info.

You can get wheels with similar specs to the stock wheels. You'll want a 4X100 lug pattern (which is the biggest detail... only 4X100 will fit.. not 5X100 or 5X112). The stock offset (et) is about +40.... You can safely go +35 or (from what i've read on this forum) even out to +25 on the offset. The largest safe diameter on this car is likely 17"... and you'll wanna stay with a 7 or 7.5 wide wheel (maybe as wide as 8), but you're really gonna have a hard time with something like a 17X8.5 et 40. It would almost definitely rub.

IMHO, your best bet would be a 16" diameter by 8" wide wheel with an offset of like 30-35. Then lower the car. I'd also focus on weight. Anything over 17lbs/wheel on this car is gonna increase your unsprung weight and could realistically start to affect acceleration and MPGs. If you don't adjust the tire size accordingly, you'll also throw off your speedometer.

But don't let any of that stop you. It's definitely worth it for a sportier look. A good way to do it would be to go to TIRERACK.COM and search for wheels for your specific car. You can narrow the search by diameter and sort by weight. They'll only suggest wheels that will definitely fit your car. It's a great site for a first time car owner.
