My New CX-9 GT - Dolphin Grey

It's been about two months since I first purchased my CX-9, and I'm finally getting around to posting some pics.

Within a week of getting the car, I purchased new 18" wheels and some Blizzaks for the Denver winter. It will be fun come spring to go back to the 20" stock wheels - it'll be like getting new wheels, since I drove about 5 days on them before replacing them.

I also posted an interior shot showing my cheap iPod setup with the Griffin Tuneflex.

I really like that color. We have Blue Mica, and while it looks awesome when it's clean, it is very hard to keep clean. The other thing I don't like it that it shows scratches and chips much more than our Dorado Gold 4Runner, which looks much better when it's "dirty." Next time I buy a car, I will not be buying a dark paint color. No wonder grays, silvers, and whites are so prominent! I'm sure yours fits into that category too, plus it's kind of unique compared to everything out there - good choice.

Congrats! (iagree) (cabpatch)

Haven`t seen the new shape of the headlights, now they are more rounded, they look like eyes now!!! LOOK AT THE THIRD PICTURE! way too much !!!!
And with the smiley face.....mmmmmmm.

Congrats on your new car. How come your model doesn't have the LCD screen in the headunit? I thought all 2010 models had it?

That's still the base unit on all 3 trim levels. The MID/Bose/Backup Cam with 4.3" screen is an option on Touring and GT trims. Nav is optional on GT.

Its interesting how different specs are put together for different markets - in Aust, there are 3 models (Classic / Luxury / Grand Touring), all AWD (no FWD available down under) with all having at least 4.3" LCD.

Classic has 4.3" LCD with no BOSE, Lux has 4.3" LCD with BOSE, Lux has optional NAV with 7" and GT has NAV and 7" standard.

4 days until my Crystal White Pearl is delivered !!!

Cheers(cheers)

Good to see that not everyone thinks that AWD is a total solution. Doesn't look bad on those 18s.

Yeah - I managed to find a GT model with no additional options, thus making it an affordable way to get into a GT. I at least wanted leather, so a Touring would have been fine too, but I really liked the HID lights and the 20" wheels (after finally resigning myself to needing to purchase a winter set of wheels/tires). It just so happened they had the GT in the color and configuration I wanted - if they had also had a Touring with the same choices, it would have been a difficult decision.

I do wish I would have gotten the MID/Bose/Backup Camera package. I've heard the stereo upgrade is decent, and I do wish I had a fuller sound from the stock stereo. And I believe that MID has better options for phone bluetooth functionality - I'm not a big fan of having to talk to the car to make a phone call.

Otherwise, I am as pleased as can be with the CX-9 thus far.
