Install was simple. And I just love the look compared to the ugly stock tank.

Huge Thanks to Victor (a.k.a. Pirana) for hooking me up! (thumb)

hey there eli,

i can't seem to make it so the bracket can reach the hole where you placed yours. can you take a picture a little farther back for me to see where exactly you placed it? i think i know the spot, but when i went out there to test fit it, it didn't work. i might have to get a bracket extension.

and where did you get that black tubing for the purge valve?

edit: oh yeah, the catch can looks REALLY good.

Alright this is how I did mine.

Let the engine cool overnight. (duh!)

Get a cup and drained about an ounce of coolant so I could remove the tube going to the plastic catch can.

Removed the old coolant can with hose attached and take it over to the new one. Take one of the two valves off the top and use the old tube like to drain the coolant into it. Tighten everything down.

go back to the engine and bolt the can down using one of the bolts provided. I was only able to use one bolt but it seems very secure.

Trim the original hose to fit to the new one.

Take the two small hose clamps provided and secure this to the radiator and can.

Use the tube that was on the plastic can for your overflow and point this to the ground.

Double check all the fittings are tight (don't forget the botttom one!) and your GTG. :D

sweet, thanks. i'll call you later when i'm actually gonna do it. no garage + no covered parking + 100 degree weather = heat stroke = dead tonk.

hey is that hose on the right fitting just a cut piece from the stock hose? dammit what can i use in place of the straw (ie, some hose?) in the meantime vic

03's coolant reservoir have a plastic straw out the top's cap......earlier ones have a rubber hose.

Here is an old image of my engine

DAMN! thats sweet.

How much are they and where can I get one?

I was looking at the polished one that Summitt has for $50.

Since I have the K&N filter I could put the tank in the hole where Eli has his air filter.

See you AZ guys next Sunday.

Bill

thanks Bill. Pirana (Victor) has a group buy going right now. Get the blue one. Others have said it matches perfectly!

See you on Sunday :D

not trying to thread jack your thread Azeli73. yours looks good though. i just wanted to post a pic of mine so people can see how easy it is, and you can literly put it anywhere. and im only using one bolt also and it holds tight. and yes i know my engine is dirty i was doing some cleaning and painting this past weekend

I like the silver piping you used. any leaking problems yet?

<Thread jacking my own thread><i>Who is it that makes that header again? some guy on here right? Does he still make them? What kind of power does it produce?</i></Thread jacking my own thread>

freekwonder, that looks good. The blue one does match the laser blue.

Now I have to get in touch with Pirana to find out the price. Now I need to decide between red or blue. My engine bay is both.

Oh me oh my.

What do y'all think? You can see my engine on my www the button is below. You're only a click away.

thanks. no leak problems yet. i just made sure everything was tight before i put it on.

ya the guy is traveller, i dont know if he is making them any more. some one told me he isnt. i had some nice gains, never dynoed it. but two of my buddies noticed a healthy pick up form 3000 and up. i might actually be selling it soon. im going to go a different direction with my car.

i just installed mine on tuesday. its leaking like a siv from the lower part of the sightglass and the fitting at the bottom. i got RTV but i need to take the time to drain it, unscrew both fittings, rtv the s***, and screw it back in. meanwhile, my coolant level is still good so im not in a rush.

the only think that im not too sure about with the catch cans is you cant really tell if there is any fluid inside there or not. can you?
