o no worries on warranty... its only for regular maintinence like suspension work, sub blows, etc etc... and its only for a few months, winter isn't that long...jred321 said:good luck, hope it doesn't have a blown head gasket or messed up piston rings or any other number of problems that could have resulted from previous mods but you would have no idea.
you'll learn quickly that warranties don't mean anything in the automotive industry

1. You will NOT get extended warranty coverage if the car has been modified. Yes, you are getting a warranty PAPER now, but it will not be honored LATER when you have problems. If they can prove that your cluster was ever swapped out, then they will not honor the warranty when you take it in for something major. The dealer likes you to think that the warranty will be covered with the mods that are on there, and then as soon as you pop your motor it is out of their hands and into Mazda corporate's hands. Do you really think the dealer will fix your car OUT OF THEIR OWN POCKET??? The local dealer gets payed for warranty work by Mazda... but with something big like a motor or tranny, Mazda WILL NOT pay the dealer for work they do to a modified car. If you blow your motor, a Mazda rep will come and inspect the car before ANY work begins... the dealer will have NOTHING to do with that inspection.
2. 16k for THAT particular Mazdaspeed is still WAY TOO MUCH.
3. There are a lot of other Mazdaspeed's that you could easily get in your area... get one of them instead and save yourself thousands of dollars, and also get a REAL warranty that WILL be honored along with it.
It's a no brainer man, that dealership has you thinking craziness.

My car blew up 5 days after I took delivery of it and Mazda voided my warrenty even though the car had 15k miles on it and was bone stock. I wouldnt take the chance. Mazda wanted 7k for a new engine and labor. Can you afford that?
I wonder if he wonders why everyone else spells it "tomorrow"? like we're all stupid?dominoy2k1 said:damarrow, why doesnt he just spell it the correct way?
