Seriously? That's one tall first gear. Might as well make it taller so you don't have to shift doing the quarter mile.first gear takes you to 104mph
Uhh, you might be thinknig of the older R1. The new R1 is about the most bad ass bike made today. He's right there, Spicy...new R1's are nothing short of badass.Mallard said:Uhh, you might be thinknig of the older R1. The new R1 is about the most bad ass bike made today. (Sportbike, 1000cc)
It's 998cc, not 900. Has 180hp at the crank. Weighs 379lbs dry.
My friend has a new R1 and he races it frequently. So far he hasn't been beat. Sorry to break it to ya, but it is amazingly fast. He had an R6 last year and says it doesn't compare. The R1 can pull wheelies in any gear, at any time with a blip of the throttle. Not even a clutch pop is needed. Go look at the new ones, then get back to me.
bulls***, i dont believe that one bit...everything else seems right.Mallard said:hmm, 2004 R1

About 15 of em every fridayWShade said:Who has ever seen a 240+ lb black man on a sport bike at the track anyway?
do a search on reviews for the bike. That statement is entirely accurate. I'll see if I can find a link.protegeV said:bulls***, i dont believe that one bit...everything else seems right.
180hp throught a tiny tire in the back...probably to make it more driveable off the line or else the nose would always be in the air. Nothing a sproket can't fix.protegeV said:damn, why would they make first gear so tall...maybe to keep the kiddies from flipping the bike when they pop the clutch in first (lol2)
