My muffler choice too cheap?

dude do not just do straight pipe...its gonna sound like s***.

what you need to do is just go to tractor supply or summit and order two 2.5 inch resonators....($20 bucks each)

then just get the rest of the piping done and have one in the middle and one toward the end and it will sound awesome and be cheap!

I do not see any 2.5" resonators at summit.

no just gonna sound like pure s***.....trust me...the resonator (or glass pack, basically the same thing....) will give it a more deep tuned sound

Glasspaks are so cheaply made it won't be long before it is actually a straight pipe exhaust. I'd go with custom exhaust piping and a quality muffler. But I hate loud ass exhaust and highway droning. Some people actually like those qualities in an exhaust?

But will it be loud without a resonator? I will break down and get a quality muffler. Vibrant sounds great, but I don't want to be the same as everyone else.
Anyone like borla?

well i have an obx exhaust and am thinkin about gettin the cat cut off and welding a 2.5 inch pipe in place of it. i will be catless!! so it wont sound good cause i wont have any cats?

That's the great thing about going with custom exhaust piping, you can mount the cansister of your choice. There are a s*** load of muffler options so you won't sound like everyone else.

Any suggestions? I hear flowmaster is out of the question as far as being able to "flow"?

HKS, Greddy, Magnaflow, and any other quality manufacturer that makes a proven muffler that will fit your piping selection.

There used to be a guy on here with a Flowmaster on his MSP. Never heard it but I'm sure it was throaty. They do make a sport compact canister. Walker or Dynomax might also. Those would be cheaper than the polished ones.
