I'm planning on getting a custom turboback exhaust Friday,, but I don't have as much $ as I would like to spend on a muffler. Do you think I would be ok going with a glasspack, or should I stick to the ovals in the same price range? Or run no muffler at all? 3" with high flow cat will be on the system.

I'm not sure what your town is in terms of size, but if you live anywhere near an urbanized area, I wouldn't run muffler-less. At least around here, it seems that the cops would be up on your case for any sort of noise disturbance whatsoever, especially in the more affluent parts of town. (five-0)

And I would definitely classify a car without a muffler as a "noise disturbance"

or at least dont put a glasspack on it!! jus get a full 2.5 custom piping done j-pipe back, removing cats if possible to a muffler of ur choice. add in a couple of resonators if u want to quiet it down if u think its too loud and bam u got an exhaust

Well it's your car but I would strongly suggest you don't go the cheap route. You will regret it.

Thats just it. The muffler would be so cheap that it could be replaced at a later date with something else without tears or regret. I'm not looking to get laughed around town though.

dude do not just do straight pipe...its gonna sound like s***.

what you need to do is just go to tractor supply or summit and order two 2.5 inch resonators....($20 bucks each)

then just get the rest of the piping done and have one in the middle and one toward the end and it will sound awesome and be cheap!

Alright I looked at some HKS mufflers and yea they are pretty expensive but the Vibrants were not all that much. You don't want to cheap out on performance products. That kinda defeats the purpose.
