Well I've had the MP3 for a month now and have to say I'm loving it. The squeek in the shocks threw me off at first but don't bother me especially since its only really when I first get in the car. I don't have the clunk that I have read about all over the place. The car is completely bone stock and hopefully in about 2 months would like to do a few things to the car. Definatly does feel like it could use a little more power but I knew what I was getting into. After getting used to driving it I'm enjoying it alot more now.
One thing I did find greatly amusing was that when I was looking at cars I test drove this and the Mazda3 s. Didn't really want to pony up the extra few grand for the Mazda3 and the 25k miles on the MP3 seemed very reasonable. However one week after getting the MP3 I pull into my drive way and see that my father got the Mazda3 s sedan. So it is great seeing both cars in the drive way (laugh) .
Would have to say the one thing I absolutely love about the car is the handeling. However on the bad roads of Maine it can make it interesting trying to avoid pot holes and bumps in the road.
I'm pretty sure I'll be happy with this... I went from a '91 MX-6 lx to MP3 and my father went from a '95 protege dx to the Mazda3.
