My Impreza progress thread

Wow man... I don't think you realize how good your car looks! What you've done to build it up is awesome! I can really see it in these pics with the other subies. Very nice man. Those wheels are just gonna push it over the edge!

I've said it before and I'm sure this isn't the last time I'll say it.....I can't believe how ar you've taken that car in such a short amount of time. Looking at the pics at the start of this thread it's amazing how good it looks now.

8/29/09 UPDATE:

Did a couple small mods to the car and got all but the tapeing done on the prep work for my doors.

First mod I got rid of the stock fog delete covers and made some mesh covers to replace them:

I think it makes it look a lot more meaner and more aftermarket.
Added a red vinyl strip to my grille like you see on sti/wrx's:

Also modded my garage a bit. Added a diamond plate florescent shop light, and some sweet Suby Posters:

Now if I could only convince my wife to get rid of all the junk in the back of the garage I could build my self a work bench.

Just found this, looks awesome!

Inspires me to hopefully have a garage and cool project car like yours

keep up the great work!

9/20/09 UPDATE:

Got a few updates for you all. First one is I got a front strut tower bar my brother(braveopen) gave me. It is used and was pretty beet up so I pollished it up, stripped the many layers of paint that was on the brackets, and painted the whole thing with the same truck bed spray liner that I used on my air diverter plate(very durable stuff). It makes it look pretty stealthy looking. I also got my battery tie down back on:

Next up I got a WRX stearing wheel. It was pretty worn on the top and bottom strip's so I took some Plasticoat(rubberized spray) and sprayed those areas. Looks brand new now:

Next up is I got a replacement divers side WRX seat(the back was bent on mine). This one feals alot better and actually hugs around my body pretty well. I also steam cleaned all my seats:

Last but not least I got my doors primered and finished the basecoat. Now I am wetsanding them, when I am done whith that I will be able to clear coat them and hopefully be done with them. Assuming I dont have to wet sand the clearcoat:
