Hey guys,

It is supposed to be nice here all week...so I decided to give my baby a bath! I was it first with Meguiar's Deep Crystal car wash. Then I dried it with Microfiber towels. I then waxed her with NXT Generation Tech Wax (Paste). Take a look at the photo's. There are a lot of them.

The result was great...almost looks like glass! :P

Let me know what you think!

I too use NXT everything and it seems very good for the price and ease of application.

Been a good 4 washes now and it still looks freshly waxed after each wash.

I agree....I love it. I had to find something besides the cleaner wax. Found this and it is alot better! :P

I used to use NXT Tech Wax, but it doesn't come off as easy as some of the other waxes... Looks great after all the elbow grease, though. Your car looks clean enough to eat off of.

Well on a cool paint surface it comes off so easy for me with a micro fiber towel its amazing.

I did notice that with a cotton towel it would be much harder to remove so I use the cotton towel to get the majority of it off then use the mirco biber to polish it and it works great.

NXT is ok for an off the shelf product. You need Poor Boy's Natty's Paste Wax (blue). Formulated for darker colored cars. Really brings out the depth in the paint.

!@#%$^

It looks so much better on darker car's than lighter ones like my Cosmic Blue. Nice job.

PURDEEE... Looks great! cleaned my car last night also but it doesn't look nearly as nice as your chip free, unbugged, glossy new paint. what can you do?

I use cotton towels, so that could explain it.

I used microfiber towels. You are right it does take alot of elbow grease to get it off...that and I had to get in all the cracks to get the rest of the wax out. All in all it took about 3 hours to wash/dry and wax.

looks great.
but since its black do ti every 2-3 months!!! dont weant spider webs!

But yeah looks great definatly worth 3 hours of work. compared to price!

it does look good. just curious though... why didn't you use the liquid? i used mothers reflections on my last car and it was incredible. not sure what it will do for my silver speed3 though.

I don't know...I prefer paste, I have always used paste. Is there any advantage to using the liquid vs the paste?

I used the liquid but bought the paste for the next time.

I called Meguiars and they say its exactly the same with no benefit over the other.

I think the paste will go on more evenly then the liquid and will likely keep staying with the paste. Also it wont run into the molding cracks like the liquid does.

Meguiars said every other month is good to wax for a daily driver but any more often then that and it will streak due to build up.

I use their NXT speed detailer and it brings back the just waxed look each time I use it. I wash the car then go over it with the detailer and microfiber to get all the water spots off and brighten it up.
