My feedback after uninstalling my AP

Does the AP merely increase the hp or does it also make the car feel smoother? My car's been somewhat sluggish after I upgraded the TMIC not sure exactly why. Probably gonna reset the ECU tomorrow and see if that helps.

The AP manipulates engine timing, air/fuel delivery, throttle plate, boost tables, engine idle speed, and I'm sure many other parameters in order to take better advantage of what Mazda gave this car.

How many miles did it take for your car to learn the flash? I loaded the same map and have about sixty miles driven so far.

My car has taken as many as 185 miles to learn a flash. You can check to see if your car is finished learning it by turning the key On but not cranking the engine. After about 15 or so seconds, the check engine light will do one of two things: 1) Flash 8 times, 2) Stay on.

If it flashes 8 times, you're not done learning yet.

If it stays on, you're done learning the new map and you can let 'er rip.

Mine isn't done yet I guess, but it only flashed 4 times. 40 miles on it so far.

So nothing in the log I should be worried about? Everything running honkey dorey?

the ap can clear out your check engien lights on the car that it is marryed to, can it clear and check out codes on orther peoples cars that it is not marryed to?

Couldn't tell ya, I use my DH to check/clear codes on vehicles. I don't see why it wouldn't though.

Are you serious? if the check engine light still flashes that means its not done learning yet? Wow... News to me! Good news at that!

I bought my AP the second day I owned the car, so I didnt drive it much without it. but yea... love the damn thing!

Im calling shenanigans on this man. I only have 35 miles on mine since the flash, turned the key to the on position, let sit for almost a minute and nothing happens. Is there some form of documentation on this? From Cobb? From the manual?

I've had reflashes take less than 40 miles for the MAF sensor to recalibrate. I've also had some in the 80's, 90's, 120's, and even 190 miles to do the trick. It is highly improbable that it will be the same every time.

Now I only just went from Stage 1+sf 91 to stage 1+sf 93? Maybe thats why it has taken less time.

Either way. Im going easy on it for 100 + miles
