i don't why some of u guys keeps on changing the rim on msp... i mean, those rims looks perfect in our cars... perhaps those rims that u are gonna change doesn't really look better than the stock rims...and the stock rims are Racing Hart.. u know how expensive those are...omg...i don't understand...i ****** up on my rims and now i might have to buy another one..and u know it's $500 each, according to the dealer...
and for the subaru, i don't really like it because of those round bug headlights, it's just sooo ugly.. that's one of big reasons i didn't buy WRX...if the 04 models were been out earlier, that car woulda been mine already...
anyways, at the end, u can do whatever u can to ur car...just my 02 cents....

I don't really like the 02' scooby becasue of those frog lights..the 04' looks alot better. He wants to ditch the RH because he wants to be diffrent which I do understand. Alot of MSP owners don't do anything to there cars cuz it comes with everything you would ever want. It does get tired going to weekly meets and all our cars look the same. I got a flat tire and those rims are pretty heavy. If I had money...I would buy the Mazdaspeed Touring rims which are $500/ea. From what I understand Majik likes his RH.

I hit a curb and ****** up one of my rims and the Racing Hart Mazdaspeed rims are $345 for 2003. The 2003.5 hypersilver hasn't come out yet and my dealer says it will be in the $300-$400 price range. Hopes that help you in your quest to find New MSP rims....$500 and they are ripping you off. They were $500 when they first came out but its alot cheaper now! best wishes on your rims situation! I know how frustrating it is when you ruin these awsome RH rims.

can/are you going to run stock treads with those. If you get new tires 1 size wider might look pretty good. Not sure how much rubber would negate the weight gains of the new wheels:cool:

opinion on the hood- actually the front vent is an out-vent, its designed to get air entering the car from the front fender out of it through there, thus allowing more air to pass over the IC and get it out right quick, the second vent, draws air into the car and cools whatever is under that particualr scoop, probably the intake? if i owned a MSP, i would get that because it would allow for more efficient cooling, when i turbo my P5 that will be what i get, (2thumbs)

The Rotas are 17x7.5 & I will be keeping the stock rubber (205/45-17). It should give me the look you're describing & I too think it will look good. Either way, the next time I buy tires, I can stick with this size or get another one for the new wheels.

I know that the WRC vent is for drawing heat out...that's exactly what I'm going for. I might need to open up the area behind the top grille more to allow for more air to pass through.

The APC bulbs have a silver lens so that they look clear when off, but still light up amber.

Take your current bulbs, buy a high heat silver spray paint.. I used Dupli-Color Engine Enamel, and spray your current amber bulbs silver. The light will shine right through the paint, and you don't have to waste money on new bulbs (paint is like $2.99.. $3.99 at most) Then cut the constant 12v power in the blinker.. so it's not constantly lit at night.. only flashes on off on off when you use it.

I don't really want to cut any wires & I actually like having the amber lights on...I turn them on every time I drive.

I came across the Postert pic & I think it gives a good idea of where I'd like the vent:

mazda_323_hero_front.jpg

thats a celica gt-4 hood... toyota first made it for their car... that lil hole, directs air over something forgot what it was tho

Black Majik MSP you know thats a great idea... the heat vent on the hood would not only look good but it would also work wonders on heat dissipation of the turbo and engine. Great Idea Now lets hope someone will make that for the MSP so you don't have to break out that old and rusty saw from Home depot :)... J/K.

Keep the good ideas coming; sometime someone will pay attention and mass produce these for us!

Mass production Home Depot = (burnout)

-either redo my front emblem or see if I can custom fab a badgeless front grille out of a new bottom grille
-paint headlights black
-swap stock amber corner lenses with the clear ones that tytanium is going to produce
-paint calipers black
-change signal & sidemarker bulbs to APC Titans (see pic below)
-Sylvania Silverstars (for now, eventually I'd like 6000k HIDs)
-TEIN springs
-WRC hood vent (see pics below)
-paint the hood & area around the grille black
-Protosport 03.5 CF splitter

Everything sounds nice except, unlike everyone else so far, I'm not into the hood vent. I guess I like the low profile nature of the car and the hood vent would attract just a little too much attention. There are too many jealous people around.

on the first pic, while it would do some good, it seems that the warm air from the engine is going to get pushed right back into the scoop. not the most efficient, but still better than nothing
