My complimentary Mazda Connect trial is ending soon...

:
2023 CX5 turbo
I just got an email saying my 3 year complimentary trial for mazda connected services is expiring next month...they want $10 per month to continue it...I think i have used the remote start maybe 3 times in 3 years and never used the remote unlock via the app...I asked my wife if she wanted to continue it and she said what does it do? I said you can start your car from the app on your phone and she said she does not even have the app so that would be a no lol..I might do it for $5 a year but it is not something I will miss....

I have never used the remote start, because I understand that when you get in the car it shuts back off… so that makes the feature useless for me.

It's cold nowadays and I use it every morning, 5-10 minutes before jumping into the car. Brings up the temperature a bit. Once my trial expires I will probably pay the 10$ fee.

I canceled mine also...imagine how many more would keep it for less money than they are asking.
All I used it for was keeping tabs on the fuel level for my wife...

But you still can’t turn the heating or heated seats on remotely, so you end up getting into a cold car anyway

in my wrangler my remote start turns my seat on high and my steering wheel heat on if the temps are below a certain amount...for all of Stellantis's faults they got that one right...

I like the car the way it is. If I want a car that does laundry and dishes, I spend more money.

If I used it, I would set the interior temperature (before shutting car off) according to the expected temperature when I drove the car next. Then, I am assuming the car would warm/cool as needed.

Are you sure it works that way in cx-5? As far as I know the climate doesn’t turn on automatically after the car starts

My automatic climate system stays at the same temperature set point unless I change it. The venting may change based on (I’m assuming) the outside temperature. My climate system is always on in my car, unless I manually turn it off.
