My Christmas Gift in Action

IT WAS ON A BANKED ONRAMP!!! Do you think that makes NO DIFFERENCE? It's like a NASCAR racer being on a banked oval versus being on a parking lot. Where do you think it'll pull higher G's?

Yes this thread was supposd to be a happy simple one
Exactly.......if I had the money I would have one for my car, I also like the way you can link it to the computer and upload the graphs from the different runs, or atleast I think this is the one that can do that.

haha yea I wouldnt mind having one either

Evil, did you get the SS or the RR?

Strong bear it wasn't raining when I did it. You need to stop adding things too lol. I did the bank on a nice dry day but havent had a chance to do 0-60 stuff whn its raining...damn...

And I got the SS. I am kind of kicking myself for not getting the RR cause the SS cannot send information to a computer ( i just learned this) but I think ill stay with the SS and be happy. I didnt buy it to do auto-x just to learn the most effective way of driving my car and see the actual performance that I get from doing upgrades. Had GTech of had a better wbcite (they recently updated it :() I would have gotten the RR I think, but maybe Ill try and upgrade.

Either way I really love the SS and all its features, such a great fun tool. It seriously takes like 2 min to setup in any car TOPS and it is ready to go, so easy. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.

I will be getting some shifter/engine mount stuff soon but for right now all I have is the Injen Intake and the Airflow Logistics A/F controller @ 8psi (Big add lol). I am very happy with the performance of the car too. Once I get a good launch I can try to get into the low 6's, man that would be great :).

I've also realized that the butt-ometer is a terrible tool lol. With the little testing I had I ranged from 7.5-6.5 0-60 times and truthfully I thought the slower ones felt faster lol. The smoother runs were faster but the 1-2 shift on the slower ones felt like more of a pull so I thought they were faster lol. My butt is dumb.

get the exhuast and motor mounts(i wouldnt get a SS imo and after testint 2 SSs i say the KB bushing and sythetic tranny fluid is all u need) and ull be in 5s

Im not going to re-read it but I'm pretty sure I said "shifter stuff." I'm not sure where you got bushings from lol. I plan on getting fluid, both sets of bushings, and a SS. I already researched and decided on the Kartboy SS. My GF even bought me theDelivery Boy shift boot for it so i'm "stuck" with that choice anyway.

Ive got the last model Gtech Pro and am waiting on the RR for me. The onld one was great and i have sold about 100 or the new RRs and got nothing but great feedback on them.
Evil, glad you like it and have the patience to calibrate correctly, thats probably the hardest part of the whole thing.
The RR is on a national backorder but if anyone needs one when they become available in a week or two, let me know.

lol it was midnight and it was raining thats i why i thought u said shifter bushings

I did some more runs tonight and got the same results. This time I made sure to atleast go far enough to get a 1/8mi time out of it. I know my 60ft times still suck ass but I cant seem to find the info on the GTech. It automatically displays the 60ft when u just go that far but when you go to 1/8 mi it doesnt show that time in the same spot, it shows the 1/8mi time so im struggling to find it. But I am still getting 6.5sec 0-60's so I know the 60ft still blows lol.

The 1/8 mi time was 9.8 so if what people tell me is true that is ~14.7 1/4 mi. Considering I should be getting around .3 seconds less once I get launching down that makes me happy for now. Low 6's and a mid 14 time would be fine for the small amt of mods I have on.

I just changed the tranny fluid with Synchromesh and tomorrow I should install my Kartboy SS with bushings, and the CorkSport ones if they come in time. And AWR Front motor mount later on this week. Hopefully all that will drop my time a hair too.
