My CEL

My CEL was a faulty intake valve of some sort...some sort of cyclone valve...it causes turbulence and increases torque at low RPM or some such. They adjusted its position and are going to replace it when Mazda releases the improved version within the next month or so.

I also got my oil changed to Mobil1 full-synthetic at about 1,300 miles and got the tires rotated.

You only need to rotate tires every 6k, but its good to know they are coming up with a fix for your problem

Yeah I think thats was my problem too. They ordered me a new one but it was backorderd. The dealership also had one on order for a CX-7.

I got them rotated because it seemed my car was pulling to the left and rotating the tires would rule out tire wear or improperly balanced tires out of the equation.

my car is going in monday for some diagnostics. i have to leave it

Rotating the tires actually took care of the problem...

yes purge valve.
they are waiting until mazda comes up with a new purge vavle. seems there is a problem with the old ones.
check engine light came on twice w/in 300 miles.

Mine just went off again...it seem to come on in cold, wet weather and sometimes goes off in warmer, dryer weather.
