My car ILLEGALLY being used for advertising

Ya..actually..if you have receipts to prove you bought the BC2 kit from a store, then show them that. Plus, show them any BC2 markings that's on your kit etc. They should've asked for permission first. I would get some legal advice and go from there. Sucks having a photo stolen or be misused.

We've all had that happen before... Really does suck.

Subbing for the fireworks...

I would be contacting the better business bureu and my sending my states attorney an e-mail describing the situation and proof. You might even consider sending the state's Attorney of both companies e-mails as well. Vis is undoubtly trying to pass off the Buddy Club kit as there own which is unlawful in it's right, and using your pics to do so.

zuku26 ninja'd me on it, but yes, it is unlwaful, as well as illegal between VIS and BC. VIS has used the picture of a separate businesses product for their own, Im sure without their permission as well. So technically, it would fall into false advertisement as well as other issues not involving you.

I totally hear where you're coming from with this Falango, whether what they are doing is illegal and/or unlawful they are profiting from your investment. And you better believe that they will profit from it, I had looked at that kit on the VIS website and the previous picture that they had was much less flattering of it than your gorgeous car.

Thanks 1991cc :)

Thanks for the input everyone. I have yet to see an reply from VIS about this, and the image is still up. If I hear no reply next week, I will be going the legal route.

So to update, VIS has removed the photo as well. Their reply to me was pretty defensive, but for now, things seem to be sorted out. I'm definately going to be keeping an eye on their site though. They are still using photos BuddyClub2 used for their website while they were still in business, which again, are not the right parts. They are advertising replica parts with pics of authentic parts. The dishonesty continues.......
