my car cover stolen

I swear, it never ends. I get to work(retail) at 1:30pm, cover my car, and get to work. 2:00pm, I do a furniture carry-out, and all is fine. I do anohter carry-out at 2:20. All is fine. Another at 2:40pm. I finish loading the furni, look over at my car, and my car cover is gone!! (argh) Godamn ******* thieves! They even took the cable and lock! I'm hoping the person that took it is local to the area that I work at, and I hope that the piece of human garbage uses it, so that I can locate him. And when I do, he's gonna pay. Although it's probably some hippie retard that I pissed off while speeding to work, so he probably took my car cover as "payback" for speeding, and tossed it somewhere. The extremly small city that I work in is full of those types. Damn, I really hope I can locate the bastard. I'm gonna have fun if I do. (evil) (rockon) Oh well, at least I have the off-topic section to vent in!

Yeah I put it on at work. My car is parked outside 24/7. If I would cover it at home, why not at work too? That's the whole point of a car cover, to keep the car nice. And yes, I knew it would attract attention. But I always figured if something would happen, it would be this. lol And I seriously doubt a car cover would draw car theives. If they wanted to see if the car was worth stealing, they would've lifted the cover, seen what car it was, then moved on. I think lowered cars with rims will attract more attention than a covered car. I think someone did this just to be a dick. If I hadn't had a cover on, they probably would've done far worse, like key my car, or slash the tires or soemthing. This is all speculative of course.

Also, by your logic, I shouldn't do anything that will attract attention to my car. No lowering, no wheels, no system. Come on man. (poke) lol I'm not going to avoid enjoying my ride for as long as possible out of fear someone might mess with it. If you wanted some nice wheels for your car, would you avoid buying them because it might attract attention? If so, then that's fine, but that's not me.

if someone wanted to **** your car up, they would have. The cover obviously didn't slow them down. With the cover off, they could of done anything they wanted. They didn't though. So, it's pretty cut and dry.

Nope, I'm as white as they come. lol And it is no surprise neither of those guys covers there cars. Hardly anybody does nowadays. And Spicy, you're 100% correct. Like I said though, I was just speculating. It's hard to know what's going through ppl's heads though. I really don't see why it is so strange to have a car cover. I'm going to have this car for a very long time, so to me, it's worth it. Especially since it will probably never even see so much as tree shade in it's lifetime, much less a garage.

It's not strange to have a car cover (i have one), but it is strange to take your cover to work and cover it...lol

Like that Civic commercial when the guy goes to pick the girl up for a date. He gets to the house and covers the car. Knocks on the door to get the girl. Girl says "where's your car". He says "It's right here". Then uncovers it...lol Had the car covered for like 30secs...lol

Well, I'm at work full time(of course), and sometimes I'll end up working over 8hrs. So that's at least 8hrs of my interior and paint baking in the sun. It all adds up, so I figured, "ah, why not?". Might has well cover it all the time. lol That'd be funny if it were on ebay. lol That thing was so thrashed. I can't believe somebody even wanted it. It had a huge stain on the front(I have no idea what it was), it had a few small holes, and it was really stretched out. They'd be lucky to sell it. lol Really it's no big loss, I'm just pissed that something of mine was stolen, and the fact someone was touching my car without my knowing/seeing it.

you guys are dicks, I cover my car when it's parked in the lot here. The trick is to do something to the cover that makes nobody want to steal it. On mine, I wrote the license plate number all over it.
