bump for turbo p5 sale
its funny how hard its to sell a car got a few offers but they think they car might have something wrong with it i just really want the money and for the price i am giving it away i litteraly have about 11,000 invested into it but i guess its ture no matter how much you put into a car when i come to letting it go and moving on its pain for both parites wow beware just keep them to the wheels fall off(blowup)
ok, here is the plan:
this fall, im planning on buying a decently used car (roughly about $4000-5000K) to drive through winter and store the rx-8. then come spring, i will be in a position where i will have equity on the rx-8 and i will try to sell it privately, allowing me to save a shitload of money while still driving the used car. then i will continue to drive the used car until the ms3 comes out in which case i will test drive it and if i love it, i will get it. if it turns out i dont care for it, then i will look elsewhere.
the only downside will be having to drive an old car next summer which isnt a big deal. i realize i made a huge mistake in purchasing the rx-8 and now im trying to correct it. its not that we cant afford it, its that i dont WANT to pay this much for a car. insurance is about the same as the p5 and the payments are like $5 more but the gas is ridiculous and i would prefer to not have to drive the car to work everyday or spend $1200 on winter tires.
what do you all think?

why not trade the rx8 back or just try and sell it now
ok, another option has come up:
rather than buying a beater, i could go to a dealership now and get a titanium 3s hatchback (manual, 6 disc, moonroof, abs, xenon headlights, etc) and absorb the loss of the rx-8 to be reflected in the payments of the 3. then i would upgrade the suspension and turbo it at some point instead of buying the ms3. this will help me get rid of the rx-8 asap.
the only problem with this is that the dealer would have to give me at least $24K for the rx-8, then give me an outstanding deal on the 3 (around $17500), then i would have to get a very good interest rate.
i went to 3 dealerships yesterday to look at 3's. and here is what i found:
lake villa - about 15 3's - 0 manuals
waukegan - about 20 3's - 0 manuals
racine - about 10 3's - 2 black manuals (one of which was an 04, which could possibly mean HUGE discounts)
i emailed the dealership and asked if they had a titanium manual 3s hatchback with all of the options i want, or a manual sp23 hatchback so we'll see how it goes. more than likely it wont work so ill just go through with the original plan. the only hard part of that will be to privately sell the rx-8 come spring.
