My attempt at painting stock rims

i been reading alot about yall sayin winter tires?? what do yall do have a good set of rims and tires, then a stock set with snow tires?? dont have winter where i live..
btw rims look good, nice paint job

would Paint thinner hurt rims? My auto-x stockers are black. I'm thinking I want to go white. I don't think it's gonna be a huge deal (I'll have all winter to do em). Also, would it hurt tires if any thinner got on them? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

OK. I am an ass shat but i don't have the rims on or pics of them yet

aMaff, i used almost 3 cans of paint. I did not do the inside, because it is pretty impossible without a real good cleaning and sanding and i just did not have the patience.... Besides you never see that part anyway, why waste your time doing it?
I bought the paint at the autozone, but i've seen in in walmart and other big dept stores that carry duplicolor paint.

ok, cool. Any word from any1 if thinner would hurt the rims OR tires? I'm also thinking of getting them media blasted (I may have an opportunity to get it done for dirt cheap), would that damage the tire?

I dont think anyone will blast a rim with the tires on, well at least if they have any common sense. an exploding tire is not fun.

I'm not sure about the effect of paint thinner on tires. but just use tape and plastic to cover them to be on the safe side

oh geez, I'm the guinnea pig. It may be a while, it's gonna be a winter project (like, b/w Auto-x seasons). But I'll let y'all know!

It might be a case of take 2 off and paint em one day...cruise around ghetto style with 2 wheels bronze, 2 wheels silver...paint the other 2 another day. That is, if I decide to paint them at all.
