My 2002.5 P5 AwesomeSauce build thread

Some small things taken care of before the Haltech goes in next week.

  • Cam/Crank Sensors can now be mounted
  • Braided sleeving and shrink wrap on both sensors
  • HKS BOV sold. Currently not running a BOV
  • Intercooler Piping changed up
  • Bung welded onto intercooler pipe for IAT sensor
  • Drilled and tapped upper coolant housing for CLT sensor
  • New battery terminals and power wire for amp moved to side of battery

Gonna be getting a Tial bov in the future. Got tired of the HKS. Feels like everyone and their mom has a HKS lol

That's awesome man my upgraded injectors are Deats I'm going to look into the FPR. I see the stock exhaust manifold there, what's you plan for turbo and exhaust?

Are you going to do the fuel pump wiring MOD? For clean power to the fuel pump.

I have a begi t3 top mount manifold that's going to be put on the new engine. I'm also going to go with the gt2860rs but with a t3 turbine housing and external wastegate.

What is this mod for the fuel pump? Never heard of it

Can you also edit your previous post. You quoted that really long post twice lol.

Edit done.

For the fuel system you get into the engine compartment fuse box. Connect the fuel pump to the battery directly through a fuse and relay. That way you get nice clean power. The MOD and be found in the fourm.

Nice with that manifold turbo and exhaust you will definitely need the fuel for all that boost 😀

Decided it was time for a wire tuck. Went ahead and tucked the wires that go over the fuel rail and valve cover. Been working on it for the past 2 days. Its just about finished, just need to wrap it now. Still need to work on the lower part of the harness though just to make it less bulky.

Haltech is in and the car is running! After a weekend of headaches and a trip to the junkyard, the car is alive. I can drive it around normally and go into boost just fine. Going to hold off on getting the car tuned until the forged engine is ready to drop in.

Also went ahead and started to wrap all the wires for the wire tuck. Still not finished with it as I needed to get the car running again. Will finish it this friday coming up.

Also, EGR was deleted and so far no CEL (block off plate on manifold and the plug just chillin in the bay). Just need to tap another hole for the stock coolant temp sensor as I only have the GM sensor plugged in so the temp gauge in the cluster is not working.

Mishimoto rad and fan shroud also installed.

I was just talking to a friend last night. A guy wants to trade him his full built msp. Has a sprint 500. But the shop that did the install batoched the install. Car does no idle. A/c gauges don't work.
