nice ride. proud to see that i wasn't the only one thinking of an evo. i so wanted to get one, but i dont think it would be the best thing for me right now. also not an mr, but just the regular evo8. it's a really fun car to drive. dont get too many tickets in it.

Ok so i am not the only one who had noticed that....my guess is, the car was on the show room for like 4 months and someone prob put a big scratch on it and they did a re-spray on the bumper, it is the same one that came on the car, just re-sprayed.....the color is barely off....i have been tryin to decide if i wanna ask why and tell them to fix it....but it really isnt that noticeable...and i cant afford to be with out my car (work)....what would you guys do?????

I doubt that is the reason...More likely is the same reason most cars bumpers are a different color than the body...Paint lays different on the ABS materials that the bumpers are made out of compared to the metal body panels.Same paint sprayed on new body parts tends to have a slightly different look to it.It is really noticable on certain colors and nearly non-existant on others.White is actually a REALLY hard color to match beleive it or not.Black is always the easiest to match but also shows flaws the most...Its almost a lose lose situation on paint.

I'm glad to see that some good came out of the loss of one of my favorite P5's. Enjoy, and watch out for old hags running red lights.

As for wheels all of the Gram Lights are a nice choice and that sounds like what you've got your heart set on. I also like the Advans a lot! Those SSR's that were posted are also very nice, but I don't think silver on a white car would work out as well as bronze/gold or gunmetal.

Now, I know you're already putting a lot of money into this car. But, please for you, for me, for every other forum member... order a set of Evo VII tails! The altezza look whether it be the MR style or the original just does not work with the Evo's body style.

Ok, enough of my opinions. Congrats on your new baby.

I know that is the case on some types of paint....but i can tell it has been painted......there are 2 small clearcoat runs on the very botom of the bumper...i noticed them while waxing the other day....you cant see them unless you are like layin on the ground lookin at the very bottom of the bumper. I am gonna take it to the dealer sometime soon and see what they say...
