its an Ebay intake

Can you explain what that means???? (shrug)

They have a website, just wondering if members have actual real life data and not just making statements like "it's an ebay intake or I heard from a friend who heard from a friend who says they suck and it blew up a 747 on take off and killed a million people and thats why the world is the way it is. "(cool)

well it looks cool, and it's nice and cheap.

yea that is what I was thinking a cheap upgrade. I just want it to increase airflow and assist in providing additional cold air to the engine....:)

I'd have to say that an Injen would be better though, or AEM, I haven't really heard much about this company, good or bad...so it's kinda unknown to me really.

How much are they compared to this one listed? I might be willing to go the cheaper route and lose a little gain if it was cheap enough...

Yea I know I'm a cheap bastard, but I have a wife and kids and all that goes with it... (first)

Come on,(poke) give up the links! we know you got them (glare)

The best intake is a ebay intake with a apexi filter on the end. Piping is piping people all the difference is made in the filter. 50ebay intake + 80 apexi filter compared to 200+ ingen intake.

what about this one for $196.00?

Ah, a post with some thought! (first)

So basically for the most part piping is piping to an extent and the filter is what really matters. Since it can reduce the amount of airflow compared to another one and the best so far is the Apexi one?

I wist we had like a magazine write-up on this kind of thing with charts and stuff to show which parts offer the most cold airflow for the least amount of money or just charts so you could kind of pick and choose your parts for the price you want and provide links to the products at those prices...:) :) :)

Well it may be available on eBay, but Weapon R is not an "ebay" company. Those intakes are big in the Honda and Acura world. I don't think they are bad... they just don't have the name recognition, obviously, like overpriced AEM or Injen. I'm not knocking the quality of AEM or Injen, but I don't think the piping and filter warrant a price well in excess of $200.

The downside of the Weapon R intakes, as I understand it, is that they use foam filters. Apparently they dry out, crack, become brittle, etc over time. You might do well to find a different filter. But at that point, you are gonna be close to $200 anyway. Do with that what you will.

the apexi has been proven over and over to be the best flowing cone filter. Its also easiest to clean. All you do is rinse it under water let it dry and put it back on, no oiling or anything. As for piping is doesnt make a difference as long as its 2.25" or higher it will flow just as good as a injen and with a apexi filter it will flow even better for half the price. Basically youre paying for the logo. Just like nike shoes, they may be 100$ but they are still made by kids in china like the rest of the shoes.
