msp to ms6, any regrets?

i might be next...

test drove a white one today, not ready for a 500 a month car payment tho...

its a fast car, but it is deff not a sports car,...thats where i am scratching my head

I don't have any regrets.

The issues with the clutch are minor, you get used to it.

But like others have stated, it's just a different class of car, one that I was ready for. Especially after doing just about everything you can do to a protege, it was a big change, but I am loving the Mazdaspeed 6 and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Well said, i feel the same.

I miss my pro, but i dont regret the decision to get the 6 at all.

Yea... its awesome that we've been able to stay in the mazda family, more importantly the Mazdaspeed family. Looking forward for more transitions from MSP to MS6.

Thanks to everybody for all the responses. Looks like it's about a 95% chance that I'll be joining this club late this weekend/early next week! Hell, I'm even considering the GT model.

add me to the mix msp to the big ms6
i miss the protege but realize with ski season coming the awd kicks azz...
along with the dsc that the protege didnt have...

looks like i'll be joining tomorrow afternoon. MSP is sold and gone (insert slight sadness here) and i'm driving an 07 CX7 as a loaner from my dealership (they treat me well) until they can get the MS6 in tomorrow afternoon.

Congrats.

Thanks! I'm now an owner of a liquid platinum ms6. Everything you guys said was dead on. It's way more of a "grown up" car and I don't have 16 year olds trying to race me everywhere I go. While it does steer a little heavier and the clutch is still a little weird feeling, I'm loving it. It rides super smooth and the power, wow, the power. Once again, thanks for all the info, I'm proud to be part of the MSP->MS6 group.

I'm thinkin about makin the switch as well... my main hangup is the size of the vehicle. it sounds like it doesn't have the same athletic feel the msp does. I'd miss that more than anything... also, since I literally never have anyone in my backseat.... (no kids) having such a big car with a big back seat would be sort of pointless.... though the msp has one too, it acts more like a shelf for my golf clubs...and other stuff. 4 door compact is really the perfect size for me... once i'm a family man that'll obviously change.

while part of me wants to wait for the ms3.... the ms6 just looks so much better! aside from the hideous wheels, it's one of th best looking cars on the road.

I had the same dilemma as you. I had a P5 and found the size of it to be perfect for me since hardly no one gets in the back as well. When I tried the MS6 I found it to be a little too big for me. I bought it anyways because it was such a good deal, and I amazed that it didn't drive like a big car. You get used to the size, and once you do, the Protege seems very small. Also, when you get passengers in the car it hardly shows. With the P5, I knew I had a passenger beside me since they were sitting so close to me.

The MS6 is big, but not Accord big. It's almost the same width as the Jetta actually.

well no it doesnt handle like the msp HOWEVER take it into long sweepers AND YOULL BE AMAZED!!! the suspension tuning coupled with awd and lsd makes the car seem cat like ... anyways my 2 cents
cheers
make a move
a move to MS6!!!(shocked)
