i might have a cracked mani i would sell you, but i already ordered a replacement from focus. i think this is a good idea, but you might need AMM. oh, wait, nevermind.
technically, since youre an AMM and youre considering offering this as a service a pic is not "required" but its still a good idea, especially because youre considering selling it outright.

the core charge is a great idea, it was exactly what i was gonna suggest. if you want a second to have on hand let me know and ill PM you when my install is complete.

well i have mine welded already so if your in then let me know first come first serve but id really like to sell it with a core so that i can continue to help others that have a cracked mani.so for 140 you get mine and when yours gets back to me ill credit you back 65 bucks.let me know if your interested

I'm interested in a stock replacement. Do these ever tend to crack again after repair, since they're already prone to crack in the first place? I was wondering if a jet hot coating would be worth it.

i wouldnt know if they fail again.ive never used a repaired one but im sure someone could give some info on that.anyone?

ive read conflicting reports. theres always a chance it cracks somewhere else - but if theres anything weve learned from this car, no mani is crackproof. stocker, steedspeed, thunder, etc have all had cracks from time to time. the difference is thunder and steedspeed will take theirs back.

as for coating the mani, ive read conflicting reports. some say it makes the problem worse since it traps the heat, other people say otherwise. the best thing you can do for your mani is replace your motor mounts and dont boost it if it hasnt warmed up.

My machinist guy says that coatings help because they allow the metal to cool more gradually; he says its the rapid expansion and contraction that cause the problem.
