I removed my sub due being blown and after putting it back on the amp is no longer turning on, any suggestions? I already checked the amp fuse and looks good. Is there any other fuse in the engine bay?

For the fuse under the hood is it in the box to the divers side wheel? Cause I checked there, what's the name of the fuse? Because my rear speakers are also not working. I'll check to make sure it's on in the head unit later, don't know why it would turn offf.

You probably have a blown fuse verses a blown sub. Although I had my sub replaced under warranty because it did go out, so its possible

no there is a separate fuse connected to the battery itself, in its own case. i believe its a 40amp. there is one for the radio in the fuse block in the car cabin, check that too. do you have the stock radio? also press down on the sub, if it makes a cracking sound, its fried.

The sub amp fuse is not in either of the regular fuse boxes. It is actually right off of the positive terminal on the battery in it's own little case.

As for the rear speakers, they are powered off of the HU. Sounds stupid, but make sure you don't have the audio faded all to the front.

If that fuse is good connect a jumper between the remote and (+) terminals on the amp to see if it turns on.

Ok got home and was able to take a look at the engine bay fuse. It was toast so i put a new one in "red light". It was a 15. I swapped a 20 into it. Now it works but the rear speakers are still out. Is there a fuse for those or is it wiring? I checked the fade and its at middle. Again thanks guys for the help.

When I bought My MSP the head unit (aftermarket) did not work. I replaced it with a new one, but since my car has had a lot of treble and not much bass. Even if I turn the treble way down It sounds like crap. Where is the sub at? I looked all over but did not see one. Not sure where the stock AMP is supposed to be at either. I did check the fuse on the battery, It had a 30 in it, so changed it with a 15, but no real change. Would love to get a half decent sound system. My wife's stock kia forte system beats the hell out of my system.

Open the trunk and if it's still there there is a plastic assembly that holds the amp and sub upside down beneath the rear deck. If it's not there then just get an after market amp and sub. If you do that then you will need to upgrade the power going to the trunk, don't use the factory wiring, it's not sufficient.

ah well crap. Yeah Its not there. I installed some speakers in the rear deck a few weeks ago, would of seen it. Oh well. Thanks for the info tho.
