MSP/ massive upgrade to my p5 coming soon

Sounds like a fun build! I just treated myself to a 263 piece Craftsman mechanics tool setup. Teeheehee. So, now the parts I order I'll be putting in myself!!

Count me a vote for not red calipers, unless you're gonna put some little gold arches on the calipers. That might be kinda funny. At least get free hamburgers.

I'm going red on my P5, but, it's Laser Blue.

I always thought about putting yellow on my laser blue. Then pick up a mp3 strut tower bar (yellow). it'd look nice but meh.

yeah so ive decided that im painting my calipers yellow! to match the body of the car!

nother question: Will the stock p5 fog lights fit with the msp front lip? or are there deletes or something that go in there place. I know the sti's have covers that say "sti" on them, i think that could be sweet for the p5...

The stock P5 fogs will not fit with the 03.5 lip in there. You have to get custom fog brackets or if you're lucky, you can find some rare G3 brackets that were made specifically for the lip.

hmm good to know, my bro in law and cousin work at a metal fab shop, i could maybe have them make them up just by taking a look at what shape/etc they need to be to fit.

so anybody got any ideas about if i should install all parts in a couple of days, or just install as i get them?

Can you make any decisions on your own?
Everything you posted has had to have input from us...DO you have the ability to think, process and react to your own questions without help from an outside source?
Just asking...I mean hell..Why not just buy a built car already...since you want us to do it for you.

haha, im just bored, really that and i know there are tons of ppl out there who know soo much more about this stuff than i do and im just trying to get there input on things. Plus, i can never make up my mind...never could its a not a good quality of mine. but anyway IVE DECIDED to install my parts the second i get them cause i just cant wait.

however i do need help in the suspension dept? ive been told tokico hp's and/or tien s techs are the way to go. But seriously i have to measure my p5 tomorrow, cause i SWEAR it is lower than the average p5, my car is already friggin' low as hell! i used my fist to measure roughly today and its about a little bit less than the length of my hand from the ground to the side skirts. Its low enough for me already, but i do want stiffer suspension. Is there any way to get stiffer/better suspension with out lowering my car?

I'd worry about one thing at a time...You currently have the turbo kit on the way right??? I'd be concerned 100% with the proper install of that bithch, rather than worrying about the everything at once...The turbo will give you headaches for a month alone, deal with it first and go from there...

What research have you done regarding the changes you'll need to make to install the MSP turbo kit??? Have you looked into the side-mount intercooler install, the A/C condeser??? If you don't know these answers and how it pertains to the turbo install, you need to step back and do some RESEARCH...

yes, i have looked into it. I plan on getting turbolifes, fmic when it comes out and i plan on using that instead of the msp smic. This way i can keep my p5 rad, ac condensor, fans etc. The one thing i do need to do research on is bov's. like exactly where they can be mounted, moving the MAF cause i want to route it to atmosphere etc. the kit im getting comes with an HKS ssq bov, somehting i need to find out is where it is mounted on the intercoler/intake piping and when i get the new fmic, can i keep the pipe that the kit has with the bov on it? or would i need to remove the bov and reinstall it with the new fmic? once i have the kit in hand i want to take some pics and ask turbolife about his kit and see what i need to do.

I prolly should have metioned this but as for my build, i did plan on having protege garge put in the turbo parts and then get it tuned and dialed in, and make sure all is working fine first, then doing all my other my stuff.

Oh...well then have them install the BOV and relocate your MAF while they're at it...

thanks, thats what i was thinking of doing.

got the msp shortshifter in the mail today, install tomorrow or wendsday!

I believe the Header is spoken for, if you'd read the post above yours. As to him PM'ing you, you might want to hit him up first.

And, I'm keeping a close eye on this build. I haven't yet decided if I'm going to boost or not. See how much of a PITA it is for you to do the install yourself. Cause, that's how I'll end up doing it.

Tylor

it took me a couple of months to decide if i wanted to go boosted...and of course i do. I just cant wait. Yeah someone did ask about the header, once its off the car ill post it up and it will go to the guy(not sure what his name is) who posted first if he still wants it and if we can agree on a price...if he/i cant agree then who know. There be variables at work here.

Okay so i am now attempting to install my MSP short shifter/boot, stay tuned!

wow, short shifter install more indepth than i thought, i had no idea i had to jack up the car haha. I dont have the time to do this now. But i just "ordered" some racing beat springs! i am getting parts for my build faster than i thought/planned! Thanks again to the members of the forums who help me with info or notify me of parts for sale/in there possession. First post will from here on out be edited in red with parts ordered, waiting installment, or installed!

hey man good luck with all the installation! subbing for updates. don't know where in WI you are but protegegarage (in libertyville, IL) is a great place for ordering and installation of stuff that you can't/don't want to do yourself.
