Theres a msp cluster in for sale section, good luck with the turbo swap I love mine, you should be able to use your exhaust with turbo. The msp s pipe bolted to my SLS midpipe perfectly.

My car is dropped on Espelirs (1.4" all around) and I don't scrape on curbs or speedbumps. You just have to go slowly on them. Suspension is a must, try and get some used HPs from someone here.

Build Update #1

Items to be ordered on friday(payday):
-New msp bumper(to replace my broken p5 one, and get rid of those ugly side markers)
-3.5 front lip

-MSP shifter/bushings/boot

okay guys time for a question about looks?
i got a yellow p5, its gonna have msp 3.5(dark silver) rims

what color should i paint my calipers?
yellow
red
those are the only two colors i can think that would work/look good?

I haven't seen mention on what year your P5 is but shift forks and synchros in all protege trannies were revised after like 3/02 build date. Many blown trannies due to this even with light mods and a few even stock. Also you will want to look into a Welded MSP LSD to throw in there.

03, it has the 6 disc cd, leather, moonroof, etc all that stuff. Are you saying that having one of the newer p5's is better due to the revision of the trannies?

I had an early 02 un-revised tranny and blew 3rd gear. If you have an 03 you're good to go! But one wheel peel sucks, once you have some power and can't do anything with it. That's why I absolutely recommend swapping your opened differential for a welded (reinforced) MSP LSD.

That sounds about right. I have an early '02 as well and my 3rd gear is going. If I try to quick shift it grinds every time. But yeah, definitely look into a LSD. I don't have one right now and it really hurts. Acceleration off the line is just horrible with all the wheelspin.

Good plan, and good luck with the upgrades. I too went with an MSP front bumper cover to clean up the front end, I also upgraded all for corners to MSP brakes. I highly recommend the HP / Espelir combo ...

sweeet 03 hotnees ftw! yeah i prolly get new lsd eventually, same with suspension idk, i gotta see how much overtime my work will allow. but nobody has anyideas on what color to paint my calibers?

Throw another vote for red callipers on the yellow P5 from me.

I am also planning on turbo chargin my P5 in the next 6 months and I want to get shocks and springs but the turbo is already draining funds. I may just ask for them for xmas. I REALLY want an LSD but that will come later.

I vote not red - for some reason yellow and red just screams McDonald's to me. I'd say go with yellow, or if you wanted to be less ostentatious you could go for a tasteful silver or black.
