MSP/ massive upgrade to my p5 coming soon

yeah im about an hour and half away from chicago, so protege garage is not far away at all. I plan on having pg install the turbo kit or most of it for me cause i dont trust myself with that much.

got msp bumper and 3.5 lip today! now i just have to shop around and get quotes for painting!!! im soo excited. Funny point, the 3.5 lip cam in a sock! i kid you not, it was put inside a large sock like thing, its a cotton sleeve kinda. Ill try to take pics soon, stay tuned for the painted body parts/shifter install!

Yup..Thats hopw they come....In a giant Stretchy Cheese cloth looking cloth.
With EVERYTHING to install it...I told you it would be better to buy it new in your case.

okay so im trying to find body shops to paint my 3 pieces i have, bumper, lip, eyelids. Ill let you guys know how much this will cost as soon as i find out.

as for short shifter install, i read how to and saw a snap ring pliers is extremly helpfull so i borrowed one from a friend today and want to do this on sat, reasoning for this is its friggin' 7 degres outside, and supposed to be 40 on sat!

With the cheapest color, you are talkin $800-$1500 including prep. You could sand and prime it yourself and save an ass-ton of money.

hookay, time for more updates.

shifter install tomorrow! i take pics of current car setup and shifter install

found out my main source for getting body parts painted would paint all 3 bumper, lip, eyelids for 700 HOWEVER, its going out of business like now! so i dont want to risk going there, having them half ass/half finish the job. So now i got one more special "contact" i can use to get a lil' discount before i gotta start calling local body shops.

and best for last! TURBO KIT IS PAID FOR! hopefully coming extremly soon. Still need MSP ecu, AFC, and oil lines. Then when kit is being installed i will get custom FMIC made/bought (come on turbolife haha) and then i will be selling the MSP radiator and SMIC parts that the kit comes with.

overall i still need to work out a few minor bugs like what profile height i want on my MSP rims with the racing beat suspension, im thinking 215/40/17, as 45 is the stock msp tire profile i think a lil' smaller will look nice with the little bit >1in drop the suspension will give me.

Easier said then done..If he doesnt know how to properly do the work and doesn't use the right materials..It may cost him more as they wopuld end up re-doing woro k he thought he had done right.
I paint..and get this all the time..People who "think" they know what they are doing and that they are using the right stuff.
If you dont know...don't touch it.

That's what I was getting at. If he knows someone who paints or does paint prep that could show him, then all is well.

i bought his racing beat springs.

short shifter installed!

my corksport exhaust had a resonator exactly where the shifter was! man that sucked to work around but i did it with the help of a buddy in about 30 minutes, all i can say is USE SNAP RING PLIERS! they are a golden tool. overall im pretty happy with the look, but the feel is awesome, much sportier and tighter feel.
