Well boyz the Speed is in hibernation for the next 3 months. just put it in the garage today. should be back out in march or so.

Mine has been off the road since Halloween! and will not surface again till May. I only get to drive it for 6-7 months of the year.:'(
Actually stored it for 3 months the day I bought the damn thing. Had to wait till the snow melted. The was the LONGEST 3 months of my life! But I love every Minute behind the wheel!:D

Our Mp3 and Msp are in storage and have been since end Mid Nov...

What did you do to " store " the car....

Here is what I did...

Hooked up a solar charger to the battery to keep in fresh and not get killed by off-key drain ( clocks, alarm etc )

Lowered the tire pressure to 25 PSI

Opened a window 1/8 of a inch

Stuffed a old tshirt in the exhast pipe ( prevents rodents living in your exhaust plus moisture )

Covered the CAI and intake on the msp ( essentially sealing the air intakes )

Changed the oil and filter

Put fuel stabilzer in and topped the tanks full

Covered the cars with a good quality car cover

Washed and waxed the cars , cleaned the inside

Parked in reverse gear and no parking brake ( prevents the pads from sticking )

Only thing I did not do was fog the engine with storage spray ( like I do for the boat engine )

I start the cars once a month and let them warm up fully, a drive around the block if possible ( aka no snow )

Put a small chalk mark on the tires and do not park the car with the tires in the same spot ( try to prevent flat spots )

You can also put pieces of thick carpet under the tires, or at least thats what I do.

Damn!!!! all i did was top the tank off and park on four pieces of wood. haven't had the chance to wash it cuz the wether is soo bad its been raining for like a month straight and it just recently snowed. so i'ma have to wait a little till its clear and theres some sun. what does leaving the window open prevent?? oh yeah, i suspended my insurance as well. Big Money Saver!!

Moisture build up in the cabin from warm then cold....prevents mildew....

As for insurance......I hope you left on fire and theft.....

get the fuel stabilzer......

I thought about doing that, but I'd miss my speed too much. :)

It is worth it.....our Mp3 looks like it just rolled off the line.....

Well folks it's spring !!!.....being behind the wheel again sure makes you appreciate the car again just like they are new...so for those interested here is what I did to bring the cars out of storage.

Removed the car covers ( both cars are clean and it goes to show you what a good car cover does )
Rasied the tire pressure to stock settings
Rolled the cars to the driveway
Removed the T-shirt in the exhaust, removed the covers on the air intakes
Inspected the filters ( cai and K&N )
Started the cars and drove to the dealers for a oil change ( mobil 1 of course ) and inspections of belts hoses etc.
Drove home
Washed, waxed ( 3 step mothers )
Cleaned the tires and wheels ( gets the brake dust and rust dust off the wheels as the rotors have a rusty surface )
tested all lights etc.

Admired how nice they both look in the driveway....repeated the storage procedure for the winter vehicles adding one step to spray rust proof spray into all the crevices, door jams etc.
