MSP getting some more upgrades!!!

Update:

Okay, my enthusiasm about the upcoming build is growing after reading the big news today from the MPI camp. Dean's MSP put down some serious numbers, and he is running a similar setup to my plans.

I have added the A'PEXi filter to my setup, and I have ordered the internals, clutch, flywheel, turbo, turbo back, turbo manifold, radiator, slim fans, and new gauges. I still need to get going on the studs, bearings, gaskets, and other needed stuff for the engine rebuild.

My plan is to get the manifold and exhaust on there and tune the car with the stock turbo at 16psi before changing the turbo and internals. I want to see what this thing can do on the stock stuff before I remove it.

The MPI tuner is working great. There have been a couple of software upgrades and a wiring fix since I last posted an update, and the new setup is even better than it was before. I can now control the switch from closed to open loop based on RPM, throttle position, AMP, and TEMP... 4 switches instead of 1. This has dramatically improved the ease of tuning, I now feel confident enough with the software to turn up the boost and go for some big numbers.

(cool) Can't wait to see your results. The MPI Dynos are really encouraging for us Mazdaspeed folks! I knew this car could do it.

Got a package from mental today, the first of the new stuff has arrived.:D

w00t!

I should steal your pictures for my thread... as I still haven't gotten mine up yet. (rofl)

Thanks fellas. It should be going in soon. I took my intake off today and there was major oil build up on the inside of the compressor inlet... almost pooling up.:( Guess it's time to pull it out and put in the potato.

Finally put in that hosetechniques kit that has been sitting around for a couple months, and it turned out pretty nice.

Here are some pics:

I only did my aftermarket stuff, the radiator--->reservoir line, and the hood prop. I still have a few feet each of the two smaller hoses, so I will be doing up by the intake manifold with the rest.

Haha it took me a minute... thinking, WOW an Injen license plate frame. Then I noticed the CF... I'm a little slow. Looks good, where did you get it from?
