MSP Gas mileage.....

I used to get 340-360 miles in a tank w/o streching it to the limit. This was all highway miles (traveled 100 miles a day for work). Now I drive 5 miles a day in the city. I average 260-280 miles to a tank.

i live here in Oregon. we have 92 here, but we get our tanks filled by someone that workd at the station.

Depending on how much they filled my gas tank:

I get bout 260-280 on city driving, and about 300-315 on highway.

my car has only a cold air intake with 33000 miles. I used to put this Fuel additive, it suppose to increment your octane from 87 to 92, but I think that screwed my car up a little. cause when I floor my gas pedal, it feels like the gas cuts off or something like that, and the boost goes all the way to 11 psi. anyway something got screwed up and now I need to fix it. thx.

im in the same boat... my moms liberty gets better MPG then me

farthest i got on a tank of gas was about 200 miles in warm weather, bout 150 in winter. the car hates winter btw lol. i average about 15mpg =\

i do drive hard tho, but not insane.....

we gotta family Tacoma...doesnt say much when we burn the same amount of gas per mile lol

WTF?! Something is wrong with your car, man. Seriously.
I drive mixed city/highway and I also drive aggressively, but I still manage to average about 23-24 mpg (350 miles per tank).

Better start checking some stuff out. How are your plugs? Are you using 92 octane or higher? Do you have a clean air filter? Look into it, because that's just wrong to be getting such poor mileage.

91 Octane, 75% highway, 25 city = 580-620km per tank......

94 Octane, 100% track = 174kms!(shocked)

I usually get 27-28 mpg. I think sitting in stop-n-go traffic to and from work (and thus staying out of boost) is pumping the mileage up a bit...

I get around 28-29mpg the last few times I have calculated it. I dont push it all that hard though so maybe that is why. Mostly highway driving as well.

are there any special tool to help measure MPG? other than just calculating it on your head.

I just use my tripmeter to see how many miles I've driven since last fill-up, then divide that number by how many gallons of gas it takes to fill the tank back up.

i noticed lately my car sucks the gas on the highway but that's because I can't keep it under boost.. my fault really.. if i pace myself and stay under boost i notice a big difference.

I use 91 only have never tried 94 that i can get down the street.

I would like to know more about the Acetone procedure though, where you get it, is it safe and how much you put in?
