MSP front rotors... where to get them?

It appears I have warped front rotors. Just came back from Murray's Auto (Woodward and 11 1/2 Mile, in Royal Oak), and they have no reference to the MSP for front rotors.

I've heard rumors about the 626 rotors being a straight swap for the MSP rotors. Is this true? If so, what info do I tell them, when they are looking up the part (they are script-kiddies, they have to ask every question before they'll look up the part)? Tranny, engine size, rear brakes, etc?

Thanks!

I have the ebc blanks and ebc green pads from nsnmotorsports. I cant tell you how they are cause i have no turbo or radiator to test them but the price is AOK!

I went with the STREET UNIT.COM rotors. Rotorworks slotted drilled. and axis metal masters pads. The combination is awesome and I've had them for 8 months or so now.

HOWEVER!!! they are not really necessary if your not doing outragous driving, the slotted drilled brakes look AMAZING though. The matal masters pads (I have them on the front only) have rubbed the protective coating off the front rotors. This is NOT cool, I have the stock pads on the rear and the rear rotors look brand new and NEVER rust. So if I were to do it over again I would get the slotted drilled rotors with a different pad, ceramic probably. good luck.

Lots of good suggestions for aftermarket rotors, but I'm just looking to get oem-equivalent rotors. Murray's has the non-MSP from rotors for $29.99/per, and I'd be willing to pay $60 to get rid of the front wiggle (warped rotors). If anyone knows what to ask at parts counters, to get 626 equivalent rotors, let me know.

Thanks!

Laserblue, the brake pads will ALWAYS rub the protective coating off the rotors, but only where the pads touch the rotor. The only reason the rears aren't there yet is, well, that they aren't there yet. Friction is what stops the car, and cast iron is the best (per dollar) heat sink/durability material for brake rotors unless you go with ceramic rotors (don't even ASK about those for a Protege, they'd cost as much as our cars are worth). It's OK, the pads also rub the resulting rust back off and make it all shiny again! So... to keep the rotors from rusting, keep driving!

best place to get them is off of a user who has the cross drilled rotors. i have cross drilled but i dont have my stock ones anymroe. im pretty sure citizenpro still has his stock ones and im pretty sure they only had 16-18k miles on them when he took them off. send him a pm.

I know that the 626 (V6 1998+) fit the MSP, but what about the rears? Since there are aftermaket rears around, does anyone know where they come from? (some have said that they are the same as the RX-7...)
I would just like to get good ol' plain Brembos without having to pay too much for them

Rotors at NAPA

I got new rotors from NAPA, also bew pads. The Rotors were only $25 each. When I first asked they couldn't find a listing, but once they made a call, they were able to get them the next day. No more brake wobble...great!!!
