MSP Falling off?

To you Donas, STFU! Do you know anything about the cai he is using? I do and it has several different tune options. Clearly he is interested in straight line performance with the addition of 4.10's and a locker.

I do not need to defend the MSP to you or any other person that has issues with it. I love mine, which is why I bought it. My car has no issues. I am a member of the very forum that I suggested he look in to. Again STFU you self-righteous idiot.

I think you just need to take a cold shower and chill out man. If you think that I'm in anyway "Attacking" the MSP then you must have not read any of my posts. I drive a freaking Protege5! And I love the heck out of it. I think the MSP is superior to my P5 in every way (except for looks of course).

I'm glad you're enjoying your car and it would be a shame if you were not cuz that would mean you wasted you time in purchasing one.

What I took from the tone of your previous post that 8cd03gro has no right to talk about MSP's since he owns a mustang and should just leave here and post on the stangforums.

Maybe I mis-read your comment and took you out of context. If I didn I'm sorry but I am in no way self rightous and am not sure where you got that perception from.

Maybe instead of telling me to STFU (which seems to be the only comment many people on this forum seem capable of making) and going of half cocked, you should have just explained your reasoning to me without calling me an idiot.

I'm no more a self righteous idiot than you are a juvenile sounding person who would rather fly off the handle than have a civil debate.

you guys need to relax. i'm not sure why a mustang, or even a p5 are even being mentioned here. go read the first post and see if what you are posting applies to it.

I agree with you completely. But I'm not just gunna sit back, smile and nod if a fellow forum member wants to go off half cocked on me for not good reason. I'm a nice guy but I'm no push-over.

But I'll stay on topic from now on. Thanks for the reality check.

I'm quite relaxed thank you.

OG Topic: No the car is not falling off and there are far more MSP's on the road today with no issues than ones with blown motors or lsds.

Wow every thread I read has a damn e-fight in it is so damn dumb. Everyone’s egos get hurt and they have to get back and ruin a thread with worthless banter about whatever.

With that being said I love my car and not sure what the future holds for her. She is a great looking and fairly well performing machine. I love the handling and the speed. I want to keep it but not sure what will happen in the future. So far I have had no problems but I know that they are coming someday like any car you have. The msp is a great car for people who love to be different from most. I love when I see another msp on the road, about 1 time a month, it reminds me that its not a dime a dozen and is something unique and I happen to love that and most things about the car. To each his own!

One a month? Wow, I only have seen one other speed. Its parked on a different part of the base, and it hasn't moved for about 8 months. Its so sad.

yea i dont see very many at all either. its nice.

i dont put much weight into believeing that so many "stock" msp's are blowing up. I think that, yes, some are going to have mechanical or whatever issues that are out of ones control. the majority of blown engines are without a doubt caused by the end user. its a fact, it cant be denied. If it was a factory issue, and msps were blowing up like its made to sound around here then there wouldnt be any for us to drive, they would be recalled. as i said in my original (or close to it) post, its not a factory forged engine. people need to realize that.

for some this is their first tuner car, or first time tuning. for some SHOPS its their first mazdaspeed protege, so its not always going to go smooth if u want to pioneer.

it is what it is. you either like the car or you dont. all cars have issues. its the way it is.

Agreed. But once forged rods, and welded lsd, you have almost nothing to worry about inless you want to run over like 20 psi and are living at the drag strip. If you got a good rod/piston combo for about 1200 and a welded lsd for about 600 your daily driver would never dreak inless a serious user error. Plus you will be able to run serious power for a daily driver with that setup. Win Win.

eh, never say never. i got a really small oil leak at the oil filter, and my oil ran really low and my pistons melted. so even if you go forged etc, you still have to do the basics like check constantly on oil levels. oh well, 2nd built motor is the charm!!

Oh thanks for the tip. I know that things can still happen, they are just less likely. You can atleast drive around with confidence.

ehhh, not me man. not anymore at least. maybe because you haven't been through what i have been through. when i blew the stock motor (only exhaust and cai as mods but mainly my fault for not changing the oil as much as i should've i guess), my car went down for 4 months because i couldnt afford the $7000+ for the bill (yea i went a little bit nuts with the mods). then 4 months later, my pistons go, and it's been 2 months now? maybe a little less. car *should* be done next weekend. was supposed to be done last weekend but whatever.

well if its leaking its not done right. right?

it doesnt leak from factory.

oh ya definitely. has nothing to do with how it is out of the factory, but he was saying that if you're forged you don't have to worry about s***, and i was saying that it's not true. but i'm sure you had a point :)

yea, i mean u can put a disclaimer on any statement, but i was assuming it was mechanically sound (even forged) cause thats how it should be.

//how long till ur up

oh. was supposed to be last weekend but the company that makes rings for CP 25 over bore either doesn't make them anymore or went out of business, so I have to bet 48 over bore now. last i spoke to nick, eta should be next weekend.

ah cool, sorry i didnt use a full sentance to ask when your car will be running, in hindsight it doesnt make sense to me either lol

Well, I'm looking forward to seeing your ride when it is up and running. Any plans to dyno, or go to the track in the future?

definitely dynoing after all is said and done. i'll probably check out the track a few times but that isn't one of my goals really. will just do it for s**** and giggles
