msp build parts (preview!!....:)

I just realized you and I basically do the same thing to our cars...well not same same but lets just say built around the same time...suspension. I think im gonna have to up to a T3.
 
Update: I'm taking off the cylinder head on the weekend of the 27th to bring it to TEC north of me in Riviera beach. They are installing the valves, springs, retainers, and crower cams.

Also, I'll be installing the E6X with a good friend this weekend, if anyone has tips or pointers please let me know. I think I have everything ..Setup and E6X Manual

Good call ... at times it pays to pay the pros.

I posted quite a bit of info on E6X setup on the other forum. Check it out. Whatever you do, DO NOT use Manuel from Hiboost's instructions. They are so far out to lunch, from program settings to wiring connections (he had 4 out of 6 wrong) they're ******. I know, I know, it's a long time coming, but I am writing an E6X setup guide (a proper one) but for now, feel free to shoot me a few PM's after reading through the setup thread over there if you have more questions.

Really? My car has been running fine for three years now. What's so wrong? How old are these instructions.

Woot. I hope the timetable we talked about on the phone works out just right. My only concern is the tuning time. I know it's a huge pain in the ass to tune mine myself, so hopefully you've got a buddy there that can actually help you with it.

Your setup is going to be so sick. Can't wait to see it done and be a small part of such an awesome build!

those instructions from hiboost work fine and is setup correctly for multipoint. what i want to know is your car running right now with the way you mentioned you set yours up? all i've seen in your posts your car is down, but you are telling people to run your method.
 
I've been running for 2 years my Haltech E6X done by Manuel at TBK Performance with 0 problems. I'm currently running Strong 27 Psi with Meth Injection on a 35R turbo with no issues. my only complain and i know you can always do better is that my Afr's are too damn rich on cruising speeds. at 65-70 mph my Afr's are 12.6- 11.8 etc, and at idle they are at 12.9-14.5, sometimes goes down to 11.5 but, i bet Manuel left it like that to prevent any problems when i go hard at WOT. at 27 PSI on Meth in WOT my Afr's are 11.4-11.7 which i think is good, i just need to make some changes to the Map in order to not eat so much gas at cruising speeds and at idle but so far Manuel have done a hell of a good job doing my big turbo Kit, Installing my Haltech E6X and doing the the maps he have left me. i still have some room to add few more stuff and make more power without changing much to the Haltech Map.

So Saying that about Manuel at Hiboost or TBK Performance are doing the installation of the Haltech's wrong don't seem right to me since, Avarela's MP3 is running and have been running strong for years also including my self.


I also would love to see MAXX your Write up about how to install and tune the Haltech's i really don't doubt your knowledge and potential but ultil then you need to prove us that Hiboost, TBK, Manuel or Juan were wrong and are doing wrong... i mean any better info and How to is always welcome. i know you can always do better, there is no doubt about that.

Sounds like you don't have closed loop enabled. hook up the 02 and click enable closed loop 02 control.


are you talking about me Sam ? because if you do i'm not using MAF sensor and i don't have any O2 Sensor near the turbo or turbo manifold, i only have one 02 Sensor in my test pipe, where the CAT used to be and is connected, what i have in my DP is the Wideband Sensor, can you be a little more specific what closed loop means, and what it does ? also if you can explain me what is this closed loop for and if there is going to be a change on how the car perform in any way, boost, idle etc i just think is eating too damn gas driving it normal and on idle, some times the idle goes down to 10.5-10.7
