MSP boost PSI

I know this guy with another MSP and he says his rods and pistons are all stock and I saw his boost gage hit 12 psi everytime. He said he had been running like that for the last 2 years. I thought it blew at 10 with stock internals. Whats going on? lol
 
I've read of a few going at stock boost. Its really just luck of the draw. Who knows, the block might last forever and the differential might go tomorrow. Did he have any supporting mods? But yes, the general consencious is 10psi is what you might want to stop at.
 
What was he running for management? There are a few people that will try it but they usually blow eventualy.
 
seriously it is luck i am running 12 with a spike of 14 on a gt28rs i have a ion fmic,mpi,aem wide band, cs tb exhaust,aem cai converted to short ram, dual valve setup, i have tuned it myself which i have practically now knowledge of tuning lol i floor it all day practically everyday but i have killed 2 lsd's already. my tune however i have it alright for a/f but my timing i copied 505zooms. which i believe is pretty aggressive. i bought it brand new took it to the tracks and went above and beyond the stock turbo effiency with only a axle back and my home made piping that i made for my hks bov. used a s and a J pipe to copy the stock bends from the turbo to smic. my psi went above 25 lol no traction until i sat for a good second on 4th. hit fuel cut at 5k rpms and reached 5th gear half way through the run due to fuel cut. lost my motor mounts that night had a fren at mazda change them out then lost my lsd a week later most likely due to the insane wheel hop that one night at the tracks. my motor hasn't blown till this day but my valve seals are toasted. if i use 3rd gear to hold me back down a crazy hill here in kailua kona hawaii i can fog out 3-4 cars with the oil shooting out my exhaust lol. but i do have a spare motor with only 9596 miles on it that i plan on forging but until then my spare car i picked up should hold me off. my ms3 lol. but b4 that just the bov home made pipe and an axle back i had my msp running 10 psi constantly about 6 months after i bought it.

lol, he said that he has boosted 26 psi on just an axelback exhaust and it went fine (not everyday, just once on the track)...blew his LSD a week later...hes running 10psi daily and still no problems, though his valve seals are toasted and hes spitting out oil through his exhaust

lol sorry bout the long story but yea still going strong just lost 2 lsds and motor mounts and roasted my valve seals.

lol no i still have my msp and i bought a ms3 so i have the ms3 as a back up when the lsd goes again or if the motor decides to finally go.

I really wish i had the money to just throw down on a MS3 as a backup ride. I have a schwinn and a huffy to look forward to. :'(
 
I boosted around 13 with spikes to 15 for two years..Only exhaust..no problems here.

well actually i was gonna sell the msp for a down on the ms3 i ordered but the ms3 came in early and the mazda guys checked to see if i could have 2 cars and my credit was good enough so i got the ms3 and decided to keep the msp since i have like 7g's left on it and a spare motor. Plus i couldn't bare the thought or even seeing some other kid driving around in it lol.

never really paid attention to english and proper grammar and what not don't need it. we talk pidgeon down here so anyways doesn't matter to me if it lasts now that i have a back up car plus it lasted 4yrs so far and im sure i acted stupid at 1 point everyday of the cars life with me.
 
Been boosting at 14, spikes at 15 for the past year, so roughly 20,000 km on it at that....its in the shop with something that sounds like noisy lifters, and im sure a head gasket...also its started to drink a little oil, but it has 176,000 km on it....
