MS6 rarity and other random talk

LOL, I love the look, but it was the true guinea pig for the Mazdaspeed development over here. It was a port modified car instead of something designed with a perf. variant from the ground up. It did have some cool things, no doubt, but also had a lot of shortcomings.

Trust me, the MS6 is no angel either, so we're all in the same boat together.

Well I have no idea what any of those terms mean, but yes Mazda definitely could have spent a little more time developing it. Though I too am in love with the looks of it, and my wallet is being punished for it.

They put the parts on at the port in the US, not built like that on the assembly line.

their FMIC is about as useful as the rest of the MS intercoolers... other than that, cargo room, and passenger capacity... they pretty much own.

They do look awesome too. But man if I were to own a MSM Id have to have 3 of them to get the room I have in the msp. And you MS6 guys would have to own 7 MSMs for the same room lol.

Great....all the MSP guys are in here defending themselves...LOL!

True, the MS6 is good for carrying some things, but I think the MS3 is the most useful of the bunch. Without modifying the rear seats, you don't get a lot of space in the MS6 for big stuff.

the owner reviews I've heard are overwhelmingly positive... looks like the writer of that review doesn't quite understand the function of a turbo.

Well I really don't understand the MSM. I mean after comparing the specs of the MSM to the MSP, I really didn't see any improvement. Yes I know, it's a totally different kind of car, but IIRC the slalom, 1/4 mile, skidpad, blah blah wasn't really much better if it was even better at all than the MSP. So when you compare the MSP/MSM to the MS3/MS6 I see quite a gap in R&D or the lack thereof.

Ahem, as I was saying... I love the MS6 and that is why I am posting here...

skidpad is like... .96? a clear improvment over any other MS.

I would take an MS6 as a first vehicle... MSM as a 2nd to something 4wd. lol

Let me know what more info you need, I did it and it's not hard at all. Just order the items that are posted and once you start tearing into it, you'll see how it all goes together.

After looking over that how-to, it does need some work.

I looked around when i had the carpet out, but didnt notice anything on how it all worked, but then again i was pretty tired at that point.
I just found your photobucket pictures...that is all the help i needed. thanks!
