MS6 rarity and other random talk

no #1 the damn rack looks ugly on the car, #2 buy a subaru or suv if ur gonna have a bike rack, the MS6 wasent made for that,#3 :D

Milk in a bag sounds like a pain in the ass. How do you re-seal it? One of the chip bag clips?

I've only seen 2 other MS6's in the Portland area. One used to always be parked on the street near my work, but I haven't seen it in months now. The other was at a gas station in Beaverton...identical in appearance to mine. The guy walked up to my car thinking it was his. lol

The wife and I just took a road trip to Utah a few weeks ago. We saw 2 other MS6's around Salt Lake City, a red one and a white one. I was suprised how many comments I got about our car there. It seems to get a lot less attention around here.

and u just cut the corner of the bag and drink the milk, why would u need to reseal it? its in the fridge and stays cold.

and i agree that the bike racks looks ugly. but what if u wanted to be different and buy a ms6 and not a scooby, but still bike?

I see more people using the rack for skis/snowboards since our rear seats don't normally fold down. No need to hate the AWD to go to the mountain and do some boarding.

I see some around where I live. There is actually another BCM who lives close to me, I was getting in the car at the store one day when the guy drove by. I waved and he kind of glared. I think he might be jealous because his is stock!

I've seen a few MS6's around St. Louis. A couple of them have almost jumped out of the car while still moving to try to come up and say "hi". It's hilarious how unique these cars are and are almost camouflaged by the sheer volume of normal Mazda 6's.

We're kind of like gorillas in that only we can tell each other apart. No one else knows the difference. :D

bike rack ftl... unless your an avid biker, then wouldnt it be ftw?

I've definitely considered putting on a Yakima/Thule on my MS6 (Trail riding/Mountain biking).....the major downside is that both of them require drilling into the roof. I guess I'll stick with the trunk mount.....

Interesting analogy. I just got an email from a guy who had a red MS6 and sold it back when I got mine, he picked up a black '07 last week. He was actually a mod of this section back in the day (jdub260).

You shouldn't have to. I looked into Yakima/Thule racks and they make them 100% snap-on, no drilling. They're not cheap, but they do have them.

Huh.....I'll have to check that out, then. I talked to one of the guys who works at a local bike shop. As good as they are, it wouldn't be the first time they've been wrong.

Hey here in Wisconsin we have milk in a bag. I guess we're far enough north. I havent seen another spd6 round west central wi.

im in Cali near Los Angeles.
I only know of about 6 other MS6's who are also part of MOCC near me...

i have spotted only 2 in my hometown, but they must have just been passing through, i havent seen another speed 6 in my town since then.
im sure there are more speed6 owners in LA area, but i never see any on the road...

rare is nice, but soon it will be TOO rare and parts will become scarce & expensive... argh!

I think we've got the best of both worlds...rarity in the sheer numbers but with few exceptions, parts should be little issue since the motor lives on in the MS3 and CX7.

man i was at the best buy in cerritos CA earlier this year and there was 3 silver ms6s in the same parking lot close to eachother.. (boom04) ive only ever seen that at the dealer..when i bought my ms6 there was about 30 to chose from in a row..that was nice..an ms6 army!!
