MS6 Price

Guess I was being paranoid

...suddenly, yesterday PM (ie., a few hours before the lease incentive officially expired) they both called to say they had received Sports and invited me to take delivery ASAP. Call me paranoid, but it makes me wonder if Mazda USA held off on deliveries of Sports to avoid coughing up the $2450 being offered. Did anyone buy or see a Sport at a dealer before yesterday?

I guess my conspiracy theory was wrong. Mazda just extended the Sport lease incentive program until Jan 3.

much like when they wanted $2K over the sticker price for the MSP and no test drives.

it will be lower...its just that people will pay premium for the car now. Like when the RX-8 came out some people paid $40K to be the 1st to get them. Now they are dirty cheap.

actually S-plan is 3% ABOVE invoice..still a good deal though
nono... Technically, It's dealer's choice whether or not they want to honor it and to what extent, but if you look on Mazda's invoice, on the bottom left, you'll see a number next to where is says splan. It's usually right at invoice, but sometimes varies a bit. When it has varied on deals I've written it's been about $30 less than invoice, but it's generally right in line.

LOL

Not sure about the re-financing the lease, but my dealer knows that I'll probably end up buying it out. My MSP, on the other hand, I may end up trading up for the MS3 if it comes out next year.

Yep. $715 after taxes. OUCH! My butt still hurts from that reaming.....but...the nice heated seats sooth the ache right damn quick! That and the 4 strips of burnt rubber when you hammer it with the DSC control off!

hmmmm, $715 a month, times 48 months equals $34,320 in total payments. do you mind if i ask you what residual you got?? as long as you like the deal, then you didn't get reemed, but, personally, i wouldn't like that deal

I'll have to check the numbers on the sheet, but $715 is the total taxes in each pymt. IIRC, the residual at 48 months is 43% of $39, 795 CAN. At 15% tax the total is almost $46K. With a residual of ~$19,000, I am using ~%25,000 of the value of the car. I end up paying $34,320 in pymts, which comes out to ~29K and change pre-tax. Ultimately, I am paying about $4K over the term to drive this car. It is a bit of a hit, but I only did it because I will call it the "company" car and write of ~80% of the lease payments. In the end, it will cost about the same as if I had leased a Civic or a 3...LOL!

I lease every car. But I will never buy it. You get screwed. I trade every 2-3 years. It just so happens that this time around I renovated the house so i can't trade right now. also, there isn't anything I like more then the speed right now. Yeah, I like speed 6, duh, but we all know why I'm not buying one.

******* dealer.

Have you had any further contact with the dealer or rep?

Yah, the Ford Fleet pricing web site says S-Plan is invoice.

"The Mazda S-Plan price is equal to the total dealer invoice amount. It is listed in the lower left corner of the factory invoice as "SPLAN". This is the same price that the dealer pays for the vehicle. Mazda pays the dealer a commission on each S-Plan sale."

I was told by my local dealer that they won't honor the S-Plan pricing. I found one half an hour away that will. Looks like that's where my business will be going.

nope. I was going to go meet the rep last week but his trip to here got canned. Supposed to be coming in this week but I have not been well these past few days and have been off from work. I'm not sure if I can get up to catch him or not.

No matter. We got nailed with snow today, and I'd say it's here to stay now. There's no test driving any mazdaspeed 6 for quite some time now :( The car can rott away in the showroom now for all I care after the bulls*** I heard.

wow.. that's the best deal I think I have heard.

I lease mine for $599 CAN with Tax. I traded in my RX-8, got a decent deal, and put $4K down with the trade. I also never buy, I like to lease because I like a new car every 2 years or so, and I also write it off as a company car (which I can only do if it's a lease).

Anybody down in Ft. Lauderdale area check out the current pricing on MS6? What sort of deal are dealers making on GTs, no nav?

I'm looking to buy not lease since I drive 500miles/week.

I just picked up my Titanium MSP6 yesterday! MSRP was $31,185, and my dealer sold it to me for invoice... So I paid $28,7xx for the car, put down $3000 of my money and leased it for 24 months @ $461 total payment.

...What a sweet-ass ride...

Anyone that doesn't mind coming up to Salt Lake (or paying shipping), I can get you a good deal on a MSP6, as I have a very good friend that has worked at my Mazda dealership for a long time. I may not be able to get you invoice, but I can certainly get you some kind of discount and a guarantee of no bulls*** over MSRP pricing!

So if anyone wants a nice 02 P5, I have one for sale as of today!
