Are there any benifits from removing the stock bottom intake portion?? I installed my cobb intake today and i didn't remove it because if i was to go to the dealer, i could swap back to the stock intake.
I'll be installing my Cobb SRI shortly, I fully intend on pulling the resonator as that will help a little to get colder air into the bay. the resonator itself is a restriction on the stock system.

I doubt that a dealer would void your warranty based on you taking out your resonator. not to mention the fact that they would have to look for it to find you took it off.
i just installed the cobb sf intake today and removed the bottom intake, another clump of ass backwards plastic if you ask me. LOTS of open space now for new air to make its way in! will have pics in a day.
