Ms3!

Did everybody else already see this? http://www.autoweek.com/files/specials/2006_geneva/mazda/mazdaspeed3/pages/04.htm In the hatchback no less! Let's see, if I can get my wife to get rid of the minivan, she can drive the 6 'cause she says the 3 is to small . . . Red, I'm definitely getting red. Whoa, I guess I ought to wait until I can actually test drive one of these bad boys!

Okay, now I see why it has been so quiet in this section. All the action is over at the MS3 section! And now I see where the MS3 Geneva thread posted here was moved awhile back, too.

The link you posted didn't work.

This one should.

Mazda seems to have gone slightly performance crazy as of late with Mazda Performance Series versions of popular cars like Mazda6. The Madaspeed treatment has now been applied to the small Mazda3 which will be officially unveiled at this months Geneva Motor Show. It packs the same 2.3 liter turbo charged 4-cylinder engine with advanced direct fuel injection as its bigger brother, but with only front wheel drive at its disposal it will have to be detuned to avoid massive wheelspin. Prices for the US have yet to be fixed but expect some serious bang for your buck.

Wow, the car will be a rocket! (assuming Mazda can fix the 'powerloss' problem reported by many MS6 owners)

I'm sure that even though the engine may be "detuned" in stock form, it can be modded to be just as powerful as the MS6 engine.

Sloppy cut and past. Link works now and takes you right to the photo gallery. Yeah, I'm going to translate into Ameriken the metric power/wt. figures provided in Mazda's press release to come up with the pwr/wt. to compare to the MS6. US version could be different though just like it is for the MS6. I imagine somebody in the MS3 thread has already done some of the work.
