MS3 Wheel Fitment Pics & Specs

17x8 offset is +48. Thinking bout adding spacers also anyone know the proper offset to make the wheels flush with the car?

yeah, you should fit just fine as is. to be completely flush you probably need about a 20mm spacer, but then you have other considerations like fender rolling and really paying attention to tire size and ride height to make it fit.

Hey looking to replace my tires. On stock suspension and rims. Would like to go a little wider. Would 225/40 or 45's fit?

225/40 should fit, that's about the widest i'd go on a stock tire, or your contact patch is gonna be all stupid and lame.

no clue about the proteges....speed3 yes, 225/40 is perfect and you'll be far from rubbing. I ran a 225/40 tire on a 20mm wheel spacer in the back and had to roll fenders, willing to bet even a 15mm spacer would've cleared without rolling tho

Thanks guys. And no I use to have a Speed Protege but traded it in for my 08 Speed 3 just forgot I haven't changed it yet I have been slacking lately.

As the never ending advice continues, I'm going to pick up a set of PF01's 18x8 +40, with stock suspension and some 225/40 Star Specs. I'd prefer to avoid rolling until I lower the car. Do you think it'll work without rubbing and no roll?

Thanks a lot.

fronts should be fine. rears will probably only rub on hard bumps or with people in the back seat. i'd just roll the rears now if you plan on lowering the car.

Thanks for the advice that's probably what I'll do.

BTW, your car looks awesome with the white on white.

anyone have pictures of a speed3 with speed6 wheels? im currently sitting on three speed6 wheels and I'd like to see if I should bother getting a 4th wheel or keep the stock speed3 wheels......thanks!

I guess ill update this thread with my latest setup

1) WORK VS-XX
2) 18 x 8 +28 front, 18 x 9 +38 rear
3) yokohama s drive tires
4) 205/40-18
5) BC BR type coilovers - rear spring perches removed, front is maxed out(but not modified)
6) camber specs are natural from the amount Ive lowered it. Im unsure of exact specs, but rears are around -3, front -2
7) Rear quarterpanels have been rolled completely flat and pulled slightly, fronts are untouched
8) Car scrapes over big bumps in the rear and needed modded for clearance
9) Car clears from lock to lock easily and only slightly rubs over big dips. No cutting of the tires at all
10) It is an aggresive fitment with a decent stretch on the tires. It may not be for everyones taste but I love it

yes! fitment looks good, strick. flush and flashy but not over done. i thought you also had some work done on the pinch welds in the front fender wells to accommodate the drop?

Thanks & good call on that. I forgot i had done that at the bodyshop....lol :P It gave me about another 1"-2" of "safe" clearance to prevent cutting in the middle of the tire.
