How dose the slightly moded ms3 do against the slightly moded wrx non sti?

Got a couple guys over here that wana race me and im not too sure.

you should win. Stock STI's dyno at around 260 to the wheels.

ull walk all over the regular wrx stock. even if he has intake/exhaust

awd might help them a little off the line, but i think the ms3 still wins.
im too lazy to look up weights, but the ms3 must be less than a wrx, and more power = win.

+1....awd will give a little advantage from a dig, but you can overcome that if you have enough room. AWD is a little bit heavier and will slow him down a little in the higher gears. Definately a drivers race...if you suck at driving id say dont bother...

1/4 mile times are about the same but the trap speed of the ms3 is faster, you can guess why.

oh dear, here we go again with the "kill them" comments. You will not kill a wrx, sorry to burst your bubbles. You may pull him if you drive the car properly, dont miss your shifts, shift at the right rpm, etc...

All races are drivers races, not to overstate the obvious, but yeah you should walk all of them, I ran with a stock STI on the on ramp and no one gained any ground from 20-90mph, this was when I was still stock too.

Stock Mazdaspeed 3 against stock WRX:

Go for it... both stock cars are fairly comparable... with the wrx likely to take the lead first... and the ms3 likely to catch-up/overtake after 60mph. Regardless, it will be close and will mainly come down to who is the better driver.

Don't forget to dump your dead weight (spare wheel + jack + girlfriend in passenger seat).

I raced my friends wrx 07 when he had intake, tbe exhaust, boost turned up to 18+, off the shelf cobb tune, and top mount upgrade. From a stop not so good. From a roll at 40, even for a while, then I pulled slightly. About a car..
We raced 3 times with the same outcome.

He's a good driver and didn't miss gears. I'm pretty good too and didn't miss gears either.

The stock turbos on those are tiny to say the least. His boost fell to ten at 4500. We then changed his turbo to an sti's, turned up his boost to 20+ and it fell to 18 at 5000, put on an ext. waste gate w/ o2 dump(sounds crazy), vic delete and some intake manifold porting.

Then he rapped me by about.... well, a lot! And his car weighs less then mine by about 500 lbs.
