yup stock is 2.5". The stock catback actually flows pretty well.

I'm confused. Are you wanting to put a Protege 5 muffler on a MS3 or put a MS3 muffler on a P5? Big difference. The MS3 muffler is 2.5 inches I.D. You would not want to put a P5 muffler on an MS3. That would be a step down in flow and performance. You really cannot improve on flow on the MS3 muffler until the engine is north of 300 whp.

lol , look @ my avatar and screen name... Going to make a custom cat back with MS3 muffler . I wish I had an MS3, although minus the power my car is amazing. Also anyone have their stock muffler they want to sell for like $80 shipped?
