MS3 Specs and Prices

What sucks is that the car's not even available in winning blue color. It's gonna come in that retarded blue...

Also, it depends where you get your shipping and registration hookup. You can sly away just under 30k for a RHD ms3 from what I can tell if you have your 'connections.'

So is everyone here going to sit here and b**** and moan about everything? I don't like 18's...the car is too heavy... You guys should be a little less narrow minded and be more open to the fact that Mazda spends MILLIONS on R&D for theses cars. All cars are getting heavier because they are safer, more luxurious and better equipped with electronics and other amenities. This is what the majority of people want. Racers and speed freaks are a small portion of the market they are catering to. And the comments about the 18's...most sporty cars will have them in the next year or so. The new sti, evo 9 and srt4 will all have 18's.

I personally like 18's, they are a good trade off between performance and looks. The MS3 wheels in particular aren't all that great but on other cars they are. As far as weight goes, what does it really matter? The car is plenty fast and handles extremely well, how many of you are actually going to test it's limits in the first place.

Thats a White speed3 on the second page of the atricle isnt it? WHy cant we get white? I like white. ANd the rims on the Black car on page 67 look good. WHy cant my white car have those rims? LOL. Thats enough of my complaining now i gotta get back to reading my mag.

I believe they say that the white car is a back up test mule... if I remember correctly. Don't have time to look it up right now. White is going to be available in some other countries... Australia, I believe to be one of them.
'Course I have wondered why our color choices are so limited and boring, except the red which is too red. And that was confirmed to me by a bud (context: he drives a Velo Red sedan and it was too red for him!) who was at a show with a red one on display.
You only have to look at my sig pic to tell how I feel about having a white one optioned. Or, bring back some of the msp colors!! Spicy Orange. Vibrant Yellow. They were cool!!

The automakers are going with 18's for 2 reasons: the cars are getting so big they need huge wheels to look right and they are going to steal some buyers because when it comes to wheels stupid people think bigger is better. If you think bigger is better-you're an idiot.

if 18's where really better, evo's would have had 18's for years now. The people who create the Evo care about going fast first - fitting in 2nd. But idiots buy evos too, so in order to sell to the morons, they'll stick on some 18's.

I'm not saying they ARE better, I am just saying that that is what people want and that is what the manufacturers are going to sell. There will be some MS forged wheels available for the speed 3 but they are going to be rediculously expensive. Cast are just cheaper to make.

'Couldn't agree with you more, Chico. I've been say the same thing since I first saw a spy shot of the MS3.
'Shoulda' stuck w/the 5-spoke 17" IMO (w/red center caps... of course! )

I even have an old set of 17x7.5" Borbet type C's in my garage, but the offset of those would probably be WAY wrong for what this car will need. Grr...

I do agree with the general consensus that the wheels are too large in diameter, too narrow, and too ugly. The factory accessory forged 18's aren't bad though. I wish that you could get the car in the Charcoal Grey that's in that issue of SCC!

Haven't seen it on the streets yet but one of the largest Mazda dealers in Japan is located in Nishinomiya...I've been there several times...Haven't had a chance to checkout the MS3 but I plan to this week or next!
