has anyone attempted to remove the black oem grill in the front bumper below the mustache and replace it with black mesh? anyone remove the mustache and fill the whole grill with mesh? im looking to do it and would love a write up.

Unless this is professionally done I believe it will look horrible. There is cutting involved if you want to remove the mustache. I think Mazda did a great job with the plastic mesh.....good luck with whatever you choose to do. Post pics when you are done!

what is actually behind the mustache? that would be my question, im sure its there because they were hiding something behind it where in an open grille it would look silly. but until i take it off or see a pic i have no clue...

i like the stock grille, works for me.
